UPDATE: And school board member Viskanta to challenge Ehlers for mayor. She'll have the Democratic Party endorsement and mailers, which might be enough. It worked for Blakespear, though she had much weaker opposition.

The City of Encinitas is awash in revenue. What the City of Encinitas has is a huge problem from an incompetent City manager,.

RIP to All those who were struck down on the poorly designed roads in Encinitas due to AZ Jenny and her failed team she employs.
A pedestrian was struck and killed by a minivan in San Marcos Friday evening.
Deputies from the San Marcos Sheriff’s Station responded around 7:50 p.m. Friday to reports of a crash near West Mission Road, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Office.
The responding deputies discovered that a black Honda Odyssey minivan had struck a pedestrian and that the victim was lying in the westbound lanes of West San Marcos Boulevard, authorities said..
Deputies administered life-saving measures until the arrival of paramedics, but despite efforts, the victim died at the scene around 8:15 p.m. The driver of the minivan remained at the scene and was cooperative with deputies, sheriff’s officials said.
Hopefully Encinitas will be able to turn the conditions around when it gets a competent city manager. ✅

Barth used to call residents asking them to come to meetings to make statements she didn't have the guts to make herself. Say what you will about O'Hara's delivery style, he's at least not chickenshit. Barth privately labeled Blakespear as acting "like a dictator." Hinze was on her phone nonstop at council likely being told what to say, something she preferred to doing the hard work and *gasp* reading a report and *double gasp* forming her own opinion.
