Union-Tribune:
Encinitas has just received a preliminary ruling from the California Public Utilities Commission that will allow it to build two, long-sought, at-grade crossings over the railroad tracks in Leucadia, the city manager announced.
“This is big,” City Manager Jennifer Campbell declared at the very end of Wednesday’s City Council meeting as she announced the news and praised the “huge team effort” it took to get to this point.
Audience members cheered, council members bumped fists, and the mayor declared, “Holy cow.” The two proposed crossing points — one at Grandview Street and one at Phoebe Street — would go within a 1.3-mile stretch of railroad tracks between La Costa Avenue and Leucadia Boulevard where there currently are no legal crossing spots.
Not yet. The city still has to come up with the money to pay for the crossings....
ReplyDeleteThey have or will have the money. But thanks for your negativity.
DeleteThanks for your so informative post.
ReplyDeleteMallee,
ReplyDeletePlease stop praising me so much on social media, you're costing me votes.
- Rimjob Vizcanta
I thought you moved to Florida? Or is it just the stank you left on supporters left behind that we’re smelling?
Delete🤣😅
DeleteVote for Bruce, stay with what's working.
DeleteVote for Bruce, Impliment Blakespear’s agenda with Blakespear’s gal pal team - AZ Jenny and Rico Abe… not to mention their lead bike trap designer and bicyclist killer, the Cardiff Gimp. ⚰️⚰️⚰️🪦
DeleteSo you want Viskanta then?
DeleteClassy as never.
ReplyDelete6:10pm With all the herding Bruce has to do, we are in the best possible hands with Bruce at the helm. May it continue for another two years, at the least. Imagine any of those other council members, no no no, it is beyond imagining how much worse off we would be without Bruce's steady as you go managing the others on the dais.
ReplyDeleteHow to destroy Encinitas= Elect Rimjob and Bradly Boo Bash Mamdaniwitz
ReplyDeleteOk Jeff.
DeleteToo funny, Encinitas residents have been crossing the tracks for decades if not through the past century
ReplyDeleteBlakespear got herself a quiet zone and then shit on the rest of it is by getting more state funded empty trains blasting through the town. So many people hate that bitch. They used the C word.
Kranz put up a fence and fucking couldn’t even get a speed in his own community more or less quiet zone
Compared to the F’d that Kranz was delivering anything the city does seems OK.
ReplyDeleteSan Diego I sat there quiet zone for 20 years. No big deal
Solana Beach had their grade separation and no horns blowing the last 20 years no big deal
San Clemente had no quiet zone through the whole city for the last 15 years no big deal
Encinitas gets one letter regarding future at grade crossings with horn still blowing, and they shit their pants in glee. So funny to watch this incompetence . 😆😂🤣🤣🤣
Solana beach got the grade separation 30 years ago by taking the train station and getting federal $ to do the grade separation....

ReplyDeleteStill sad he doesn’t pay you enough attention, huh?
DeleteNot sure what you’re talking about?
DeleteBesides, pushing back a bit on the complete over development of Encinitas, Blakespear and Bruce’s agenda are the same.
Tons of wasted money on the second senior center that never financially made sense. Zero progress on the quiet zone. That is besides blackbear. She got her Sand more trained noise immediately.
Plus, he picks some of her worst team players to continue fucking up City Hall.

Where are the children? It's tranny story time! Elect me and I'll make it happen!
ReplyDelete- Bradly Boo Bash
Bring on the freak show clowns. First step starving dancing with Phony- The waltz.
ReplyDeleteNow that’s my idea of good kindergarten education. Getting their minds young.
Bradly Left-of-bitch
Rimjob endorsed Marlene. That's all you need to know.
ReplyDeleteNOWLeucadia is reporting that the CPUC signed off on the application this past week - so it’s squarely in the hands of the city now. And unfortunately, we all know what that means. Cardiff is going to get another under crossing built at Verde and maybe - maybe, the quiet zone will get implemented but I suspect Leucadia will once again get the short end of the stick and the city will proclaim that they just don’t have the money for these.
ReplyDeleteThat’s usually the way it works. I sure as hell hope the quiet zone gets app approved. That thing has been two decades too late already.
DeleteThe city is promoting poor public health by not implementing a quiet zone. The constant noise for hundreds of thousands of people is causing health problems, both physical and mental. It’s very bad public policy not to implement one.
You can't just implement a quiet zone at the snap of a finger, there's a processs....
DeleteIt’s a simple process. LA County did it, all the cities in Orange County did it along the railroad did it decades , San Diego did it decay ago, Oceanside did it years ago, Solana Beach underground railroad decades ago .
DeleteThe fact is Encinitas staff is super weak.
Encinitas is way way way way way behind the curve. This should’ve been done 20 years ago. It’s been being talked about for 30 years.
Classic Encinitas City Hall celebrate a piece of paper and then do nothing. 👎🤮
The facists are getting scared.
ReplyDeleteLocal or nation wide?
ReplyDeleteThis blog only covers local.
DeleteIt’s Encinitas real time news
Is over building on stolen land an act of compassion?
ReplyDeleteIs infilling every piece of land possible environmentally sound? Catherine once said so. I didn't buy it then and don't buy it now.
ReplyDeleteYes it is. The alternative is low density sprawl into backcountry.
DeleteImplementing quiet zone is a very simple straightforward process. Pretty much all the other cities along the railroad and Orange County, LA, and San Diego have done it a long time ago and had the transit authority and there MPO pay for it.

What the City really needs is funding.
ReplyDeleteSell that Kranz second senior center and use the funds for the quiet zone.
The increase business revenue and taxes from implementing a quiet zone will pay for itself within a five year period. The city needs to start operating with more fiscal sense. You have to to look at good investments and return on investment.
Why is the city of Encinitas City Hall so far behind the curve?
You know it’s bad when Oceanside is miles ahead of Encinitas as far as implementing good projects.
It is not sellable with the current zoning requirements.
ReplyDeleteYou’re no informed.
DeleteThe City Council can approve a rezone like they do on all other properties.
Simple and done ☑️ all the time.
No, they can’t.
Delete5:42......you "are correct" when it comes to private property. As for State owned....I gotzzz no clue.
DeleteIf anyone wants proof just look at the bastardized apartments being built in Olivenhain. That re-zone went from horse property to "leftist insanity" property under threat of the brain dead gavin new-scum and his idiot General Attorney bonta. Check my facts.
Everything the left does........"it ruins"
Not in this case. Not with this property.
ReplyDeleteTo quote from your own imagined brilliance "You're no informed".
Try again. Better yet, look it up before you embarrass yourself any further.
A friendly hint. The public has a say in how this property can be dispensed with.
No, you’re 100% wrong.
ReplyDeleteThe city council holds the ability to rezone this property to match the surrounding zoning and build likewise residential homes on it and realize the taxes gained by doing so, and that would also eliminate the huge cost associated with this project with operations and maintenance of this low used property, as well as the gigantic upkeep of a building next to the ocean.
Kranz was and is always an idiot. Arizona Jenny is incompetent as usual and never did a feasibility analysis on this site to present the city council.
The public has a saying decision. It’s called a public hearing other than that it city council’s decision.. You elect these folks and they need to represent our best interest.
This city needs to start making good financial decisions. As we all know, and Greg Lev has clearly explained, this city is a wash in revenue. What we have as a gigantic, spending problem from poor leadership like Arizona Jenny.
Bruce apparently is under her spell 🥰and we need leaders like Jim to step up and lead us out of this misery.
so far, Bruce Ehlers seems to be implementing Black Spears playbook. 🤮
7:02 you are astoundingly ignorant.
ReplyDelete10:05am Exactly. Thank you.
ReplyDeleteAstoundingly ignorant describes that chosen to remain ignorant poster perfectly. I believe he is acting as a divider and I hope no one buys into his attempts to divide a majority that was hard fought to earn.
ReplyDelete11:23 and the weird part is it’s coming from both sides. Blakespear people want Bruce out and SEN is mad that he’s not the radical they for somehow expected.
DeleteUs normal folk can’t let them push him out..
'Us normal folks' ? We will not bend over for the lies being propagated against the most capable mayor we have had in decades. Your efforts to divide and conquer will fail. I hope overwhelmingly so. Bruce, my sincerest thank you for all you've been left to deal with. That includes some of your fellow council members who cannot grasp the idea that council meetings agenda is set prior to the scheduled council meetings. Yes Jim, this is directed to you. Marco, you appear to be clueless and incapable of reading the current atmosphere of an autocracy in the making. What a waste of the council seat you were so graciously given has turned out to be. Is there still hope for you? Are you able to express a clear thought of your own. Hope springs eternal you will in the future.
ReplyDeleteLet's get something straight. Us normal folks support Bruce. We do not like how Jim conducts himself, although he's at least studying and reading and trying to learn, as opposed to Blakespear and Kranz's repeat-after-me foot soldiers. Marco has no business being up there, what a mistake Luke and Jim made in pressuring Bruce to go along with them. He needs to show another side of himself, stat, to prove he belongs on council.
ReplyDelete2:43 you misread. It's fine folks at SEN who are slyly turning a knife in Bruce's back. They did not get the fireworks they thought he had promised them and he's not showering them with love. Whether they can figure it out or not, they're joining forces with the likes of Chatfield to try to bring him down. They're the ones promoting Natalie for council and Jim for mayor, which he has said NO to repeatedly. The last time it got this weird he who used to surf swamis was running and many on SEN loved him. Normal folks need to figure this out and tune them and Chatfield out.
7:14p Thanks for a rational response. It has become a rare occurrence here.
ReplyDeleteThank you, it's tough as the waters are clouded by both extremities colluding. SEN can't grasp this and Chatfield and Beauchamp are laughing at your stupidity and the help you're giving them making this council a one and done. Wake up, would you?? Very strange times.
