This issue with Hoebeck's racism and general assholery meeting live city council reminds me of some family's dynamics when a child molester or incest is exposed. Houbeck was trying to convey that a lot has changed in the last 300 years with regard to the way African Americans were treated, nothing wrong with that. Houbeck immediately described why he said what he said and clarified his statement, even apologizing if some misread or misunderstood what he said.
Where was Mali and Marlon and their out of town speakers when Blakespear said, "lets all try to be a little less white." That was a completely racist remark. What if she said, "lets all try to be a little less Black"?
Steve Houbeck has fought as an attorney for the underpriveleged and has fought against ICE court matters defending the latin community. His record reflects that.
Even a well known African American organization's director stated, that this should be a learning experience for all of us and there's no reason to remove Steve Houbeck because a few politically divided people were misinterpreting what he said.
Further more, Mali said Steve has history of statement like this, but no evidence of that was presented to council.
This is pure political theatre by some bad apples who want to divide our community in hopes of taking the stage and gaining power. Just like Mali did at her BLM rally with Blakespear where they called all white people inherently racist and "lets all try to be a little less white."

It appears that Jim's wife was never posted. It sounds like Jim and Rachel showed up to an Encinitas event together and were whispering closely to one another. An image of that was posted, Jim might have gotten in trouble for that but not sure.
