Steve Houbeck has fought as an attorney for the underpriveleged and has fought against ICE court matters defending the latin community. His record reflects that.
Even a well known African American organization's director stated, that this should be a learning experience for all of us and there's no reason to remove Steve Houbeck because a few politically divided people were misinterpreting what he said.
Further more, Mali said Steve has history of statement like this, but no evidence of that was presented to council.
This is pure political theatre by some bad apples who want to divide our community in hopes of taking the stage and gaining power. Just like Mali did at her BLM rally with Blakespear where they called all white people inherently racist and "lets all try to be a little less white."
