Encin-CHEAT-as! Ashley Madison database has hundreds of local names and addresses

News broke last month that someone, originally supposedly hackers but now possibly an insider, had stolen the Ashley Madison marital infidelity dating site's customer database.

The database is now available in some of the darker corners of the internet, and soon likely to be much more widely available. Through a contact with some deep technology connections, Encinitas Undercover has seen the names, addresses, e-mails, and credit card transactions of Ashley Madison users in Encinitas. There were 3480 credit card transactions by 441 unique names in Encinitas zip codes, with 348 names in 92024, 72 names in Cardiff's 92007, and 21 names in 92023 (Leucadia P.O. Boxes). While a handful of the names used pre-paid gift cards rather than identifiably named credit card accounts, most of the names appear legitimate and generally match public records of names and addresses in Encinitas.

Amateur blackmailers are already trying to extort people in the database by texting or e-mailing using the contact info provided. Of course, it would be futile to pay the blackmailers, because thousands or millions of other people have, or soon will have, the same data. If you're in the database, it's probably best to 'fess up immediately to your spouse. And given that men vastly outnumber women among Ashley Madison users, chances are that many of them never actually made a connection and had an affair... not that looking alone is not going to get you in pretty hot water at home.

Encinitas Undercover will not out anyone on the list (so don't even ask), but we will happily clear a whole group. We didn't notice any Encinitas politicians' names in the database, nor any of the 28 obstructionists. One lesser-known North County elected official was listed.

  1. So??? Name names, spill the beans. You went tot he trouble to look it up now name names.

  2. Thank you EU for revealing that ALL Encinitas politicians and obstructionists are forever faithful to their spouses. How many amateur blackmailers can say that?

  3. Somehow I think we will all know who these people will be in the very near future. Be prepared to see some names that may surprise you. Encinitas Undercover is not the only blog that has people who know how to look these things up. The question is "Unless it is a politician, or a high ranking official in the military ( and there are some of those), why does it matter to any of you? Who cares? Personally I think this is a little swarmy, even for EU.

    1. I agree- it is a distraction-

We have forced immigration inteded eradicate American History, Culture and Society. We have an out of control government printing money and spending it on corrupt cronie insiders, we have a former Sec of state violating secrecy laws on top secret information, we have both houses of congress and the senate- REid, Boehner, Pelosi, McCain- doing the bidding of corporations and not working for the people.

It is Orwellian that the state run media would want us focused on Ashley Madison and not the real issues facing the country.

    2. This is why America is mired in problems - the public is distracted and have sliding codes of conduct. If all else fails, lower your standards. Remember Rome? Welcome to the coliseum.

  4. 5:42, It kinda gives new pizzazz to "Encinitas Undercover".

  5. I wonder if any grouchy people who regularly make snide comments here about the sexual rituals of young people are on the list.

    That would be delicious irony.

  6. What an unseemly and disappointing blog post.

Perhaps you should revisit your Hawthorne?

  7. An indication of the moral rot occurring in America. When infidelity becomes a marketable commodity. there is something substantially wrong with peoples' ethical core. And then there is the issue of the stupidity of anyone thinking that anything on the Internet is private!!

  8. Names! We want names!

Our morals have been rotting since Plymouth Rock. We model our behavior after evangelists.

  9. We learn our values from our parents. If they taught you to drink, sleeze around, live with someone before you are married, or cheat, then you deserve those kind of parents.

    2. 10:47 PM I suggest you do some research on this topic of where we learn our values. You may learn that the previous poster is spot on. I will add that we also learn our values from the environment that surrounds us. This is all learned at a very early age.

If you are a parent, I see why you dissed the absence of logic. Instead of being a parent, I would guess you want to be your child's best friend. That never works to anyone's advantage except if you are needy.

    3. I know more than a few people who had really crappy parents and a crappy childhood. Guess what? Their fear of perpetuating that cycle actually makes them better parents! I know, anecdotal....... but it challenges the broad brush and lazy assertion put forth by 10:40PM.

    6. 1:28 In a few cases, that may be true. Read up on the subject. It is quite fascinating.

    8. 4:54 You keep using the word "dumb". That is actually quite a juvenile term to be using which indicates to me you are not that smart. Try upping it a notch, huh?

  10. This is all so juvenile but why am I even suprised. It must be a slow week.

    1. Actually it isn't a slow week. Perhaps W.C. is getting a little bored, tired, or just doesn't give a fuck anymore? There is a lot going on. My only other theory is W.C. has either been bought off, or is not getting information from the usual sources ie: Vina's 28. Maybe it's time for another blog to take over if W.C. isn't up to it.

  11. Meanwhile the Carlsbad city council and city staph have approved yet another shopping center by the lagoon. The developer that orchestrated this cheated the public big time. Wonder if he has any ties to Norby?

    1. Just what the area needs - more shopping centers. By hook or by crook - jam these atrocities into the last of the open space.

    2. I assume that the citizens will sue the Council for denying them a vote on the project. I hope so.

  12. Did you know that Norby doesn't get a pension??

  13. Facilitators/boosters don't need no stinkin pensions.

  15. 1:04, That'd be the day. The citizens have no voice in Carlsbad, individually or collectively. Name one issue besides "removing the bars" when they've ever made a difference. They're just too big now and have barely scratched the surface of developable land. In view of that, by proxy they still have managed to do a few great things for their city. Renaming Elm St. was not one of them.

    ReplyDelete
  16. The "deal" in Carlsbad was bought and paid for by Caruso to the tune of something like 2.5 million for ads, etc. I wonder who got all the money? They don't have a Prop. A so the citizens of Carlsbad can kiss their open space good-bye. Of course, here in our own little community, the City Council and staff are also doing end runs around Prop. A. If people have been doing their homework, they would already know this. Check out what Leichtag is doing, as well as what Coral Farms is doing, just for starters. You see W.C., we will help if needed.

  17. Fascinating.

I have heard outrage about Carlsbad residents who weigh in on Encinitas politics.

Apparently, it's a uni-directional problem with opinions that fly south over the Batiquitos Lagoon. North-bound opinions are fine.

  18. I'm sure no one from Encinitas will ever shop there. Just like no one from Encinitas ever shops at Costco.

Carlsbad enriches itself with our money while we get all the impacts of traffic and pollution and no taxes.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. That's because we have had City Council's that don't know good planning or how to increase their tax base.

      Throw all the bums out.

  19. 4:16 I live in Encinitas, but always shop in Carlsbad. Stores are much better and I do shop at Costco as well.

And, NO, I won't move to Carlsbad. Already have lived there several times. I am very content where I am.
