Skyline Elementary kidnapper Jack Doshay pleads guilty, gets deal for 10 years
Times of San Diego:
A man who tried to kidnap a 7-year-old girl outside a Solana Beach school two years ago pleaded guilty Thursday to kidnapping and assault with intent to commit molest.
Jack Henry Doshay, 24, a member of an affluent Fairbanks Ranch family, will be sentenced to 10 years and four months in state prison on May 31. He will also be required to register as a sex offender for life.
Doshay’s father, Glenn, is a minority shareholder of the San Diego Padres.
He'll serve five years, maybe. Thank goodness these little girls were able to escape.
ReplyDeleteThis type of crime is evidence of a brain wiring defect that doesn't get fixed. He will try to do this again. Our criminal justice system doesn't have a great track record protecting kids from this kind of offender.
His life will also be in danger every day. Other inmates impose a form of vigilante justice behind bars for those who commit crimes against children.
Bad all around.
Remember:
"Gardner had been convicted in 2000 of molesting a 13-year-old female neighbor. He spent five years in prison . . ."
Unfortunately, you are correct. I suspect in 6 or 7 years from, after he's been out for a year or so, we'll hear his name again in connection with an even more serious crime.
DeleteUnfortunately, prison has no ability or intention to reform people. Psychiatric disorders tend to get worse in that hellish environment. He will be housed in protective custody (special needs), as the previous commenter mentioned that his life will be in danger from other inmates. The internal morality codes in a prison are squed oddly - it is relatively ok to murder someone, but crimes against children are a death sentence. One might assume most of these people had bad childhoods.
ReplyDelete11:05 You mean skewed.
ReplyDeleteYea....That's the British rendition.
DeleteOur only hope is he gets killed while in prison.
ReplyDeleteWhat does that make you?
DeleteSomebody by some hood a pack of smokes and say the compensation is to stick a shive where it belongs on this demon.
ReplyDeletejust think of the misery if he would have been successful. Thing of the misery of his former victims which are untold.
Karma baby Karmas coming......
Heh did you see the story in Leucadia about homeless man trying to lure child at Oasis Preschool! Oh yes thats right Encinitas welcomes the homeless. The guys name is Nemo Piano Bailey.
ReplyDeleteHey City Council-
ReplyDeleteHow about more focus on City Priorities like quiet zones and streetscape and less focus on inviting all the syrians and other refugees to live in Encinitas on section 8 and other welfare programs?
Act Locally please!!!!
Most child molesters do to children what was done to them, dig into the family tree to find the source of this action....it's out there.
ReplyDeleteParenting, or rather the lack of, by these privileged enablers, should be prosecutable.
ReplyDeleteWho is to blame? The child who was never taught to be responsible for his own actions by parents who repeatedly bought off his problems, time and again, or these failed parents who only delayed the inevitable. That this miscreant was free to roam and endanger kids, is on the parents alone.
Guilty, guilty, guilty, Off with their heads. Figuratively speaking.
