Great alternative to Encinitas Blvd. Now with the lane diets, large amounts of ebikes and parking by the HS, the speeds are down. Some people don't like it. Could it have been engineered bettter. Sure. U don't make car parkers walk through an ebike lane. But overall, it's safer. People hate change. Make some tweaks if you have to, but keep the speeds down. The fact is official representatives from the school, who may or may not have been board members, met for months with the city to keep abreast of proposed fixes. To claim they were completely in the dark is a lie. Hope that answers your question.
