I wonder how many horses will die this year on the track? Anyone who supports this "sport" is supporting animal abuse. Don't believe me, google it yourself. Last year 14 horses died at Del Mar and more were euthanized. It is a rich mans sport, as everything is tax deductable. Not a bad deal if you have enough money and know the right people.
I would hope that when the injured animal is euthanized that it is not wasted. It could be used as dog food or the meat from its carcass would feed many of the starving homeless people in the Del Mar area.
Horse racing, the last " sport" along with boxing still controlled by the mafia. The over/under of horses to die at DelMar this year is 20. At least with bull fighting you know going in the bull will die, although not always.
