The mayor was mostly scowling during Oral Communications and not looking at most of the speakers as they talked. She abruptly cut off most of the speakers. Again she appeared to be texting on her cell phone. To her BBF?
StreetSCAM is a needless waste of money. I'll go along with it only if the fools sell the school property which they are still paying for, with interest.
I don't agree with Kelly Hinze's statements that parking will be used for out of town visitors and that locals will use baby carriages, and bike to downtown. It sounds like this was more staff generated propaganda to justify bringing in consultants to do their jobs for them.
Streetscam won't increase tax revenues for the city as downtown did. The commercially zoned corridor is too narrow, only on one side of the street, and there's not enough parking.
One lane in each direction and too-small roundabouts in the wrong places will jam the traffic and push people away from Leucadia 101 rather than pulling them to it.
On top of that, Streetscam will burden people who live west of 101 and create a public safety hazard for them and others.
1:38pm you are one sick fracker Roger Thomas Ogden. The rot inside will have its day.
Actually, it already has. Starts in the sick mind and moves to the physical being, such as it is. It is no surprise that you would join in on this disturbing situation in our town. You are never missed here. I feel for your neighbors to have such a cretin as you for a neighbor.
Merry impeachmass. If we could only impeach you from our local blog.
I overheard some members of Blanco Nightmare talking at Oak Crest, and they were all for the Streetscape project. I can't figure out their angle. Nothing makes sense anymore in this town. Sad.
It might not because of the stupid decisions of the City Council and City Manager. Because they didn't build it over the last 15 years, two women were run down and one man murdered by a drunk Carlsbad driver. The lawsuites will cost $20 million plus. Yet the City continues to purchase stupid wastefull items like PV for $10,000,000 (offered over asking price) and $5 million for a life guard tower (crazy and in the surf zone). This City Council is full of idiots with the Mayor being the biggest by welcoming the worlds poor to Encinitas and the North county's crazy derelict homeless population.
Personally I don't think I have ever seen a Council so intent on spending a hell of a lot of money for things we don't really need, and what we need they don't spend money on However, PV was not purchased by this Council. It was a deal that Kranz and Muir made with EUSD. Kranz blurted out the 10 million, Muir was surprised, and of course they accepted. It was supposed to be an artist colony, but there is a 10 year limit and then they can sell it. That was Barth's contribution. First dibs if it is sold is the School District. The life guard tower was Shaffer's bright idea, again not this Council. However, some of their bright ideas have been spending $500,000 on some bike lane on 101, suing Encinitas Residents who happened to be on the forefront of Prop. A. Ironically the first meeting on Prop. A was at kranz's house. They are also going to borrow $30 million for the Streetscape- with no citizen oversight. For some reason I thought the had the money in the coffers. They are responsible for allowing one large hotel in Leucadia, and may be responsible for 240 apartments in Olivenhain ( if it goes thru). No clapping at meetings is the most ridiculous. There is a great meme on Encinitas Votes with a kid standing in the corner and someone asking what he did wrong. He replies " I clapped at an Encinitas City Council meeting". This Mayor has taken citizen input as a pain in the ass. She has eliminated oral communications to 2 minutes and has cancelled 45% of all of the Council meetings supposed to be held in 2019. The reason she gives for the non-clapping and the 2 minutes is because the meetings are too long. Well, if she had them when she is supposed to have them, maybe they would not be so long. Someone did a count of all cancelled meetings for 2019 and put it on Encinitas Votes. Crazy all around.
Blakespear is praising herself up in her latest communique. She claims all these accomplishments and says she now has the requisite experience to handle the complexities of the job. She needs to be voted out - her arrogance is a detriment to her ability to listen to the citizens.
The Mayor and City Council prove once again why they are a plague on this town. This is what they do when you give them power, they burn everything to the ground. They disgrace themselves continually bowing not to the locals that live in this town but to the liberal donors and out of town tech money that blight this town with their virtue signaling abominations.
As Council is borrowing money for Streetscam, it should do so through a General Obligation Bond, which requires a public vote. There is no source of lease revenue that would be generated by Streetscam. Pacific View does have sources of potential lease revenue.
Council twists the regulations and the law to satisfy the egos of its Members.
Can we impeach the entire Encinitas City clowncil?
ReplyDeleteThese people live in the absolute twilight zone.
You know, the one with single digit IQ's and zero emotional awareness.
Like the folks at the stoplight tapping on their phones when the light has been green for 45 seconds
Whatevs.
Let's bring out the gallows and hang em high.
Life will be better.
Infinitely better.
Liars and frauds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sham(e).

ReplyDeleteThe streetscape project speakers were spot on. Thank you. I agree with the supporting speakers, get it done!
ReplyDeleteCameron sounded crazy as usual. Do not listen to KLCC, they hate everything.
Finally City Council is doing something right.
StreetSCAM is a needless waste of money. I'll go along with it only if the fools sell the school property which they are still paying for, with interest.
ReplyDeleteI do agree that PV was and is a super dumb Tony led mistake. There are countless mistakes with this Council. Streetscape is a good thing.
ReplyDeleteI’m glad Streetscape is finally getting done. Thank you city council. Those who are capable of admitting they were wrong will come around.

Is this Roger on the sex offender list? He's getting more and more pervy. How can one check his name?

ReplyDeleteGet your Blanco Nightmare out there picking goat heads. That ought to make your headline news.
ReplyDeleteStreetscape will never be built

Potential, but not actual.
DeleteThe plan was always to let greasy, gray-haired hippies fingerpaint there for free.
6:53 AM And don't forget the "judges" with their DIRTY BLACK ROBES.
