Councilman Luke Shaffer charged with felony

 NBC 7:
An Encinitas councilmember is facing one felony assault charge and two misdemeanor counts, according to the San Diego County District Attorney’s office.

Councilmember Luke Shaffer committed assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury and was involved in a hit-and-run against another vehicle, charges filed by the DA's office say.
EU commenters seem to know a lot more about the incindent than authorities or thr involved parties are letting out.

    1. Doubt he will move since his family is here and I don't think he should feel he has to after his potential jail sentence is up.

But resigning is a great idea. Otherwise he's just a tool of politically involved people and it's gonna be real rough.

  3. When is the DA going to provide details. This is the weakest freaking story ever.

  4. “I’m completely innocent. I’ve done nothing wrong.”

    —not Luke.

  5. So Luke goes down for a violent Felony, and Jim brings on Builders remedy by retracting building permits already issued.

So that’s how this very short movie ends.

    1. What permit is that? Could that be Clark? What other permits have been retracted or could be eligible?

    2. OHara is looking for ways to stem the unforgivable damage Blakespear and Kranz have given us. OHara cannot do anything on his own and in fact the council will not do anything without the support of the housing consultant and HCD agreement. So calm yourself and get over the fact that the lawsuits you predict gleefully are not forthcoming. Sad you.

  6. Mrs Shaffer would be wise to segregate her assets.

    And her kids.

My dude is being sued for tens of thousands and has no lawyer.

      Brilliant.

      Great choice MAGA.

    5. Tens of thousands? Didn’t you used to claim $10,000? Put the bottle down and get your story straight.

    6. The category of the lawsuit pegs it at between $10K and $35K.

    1. You seem to be ignoring those calling for Marco’s head, though he hasn’t been charged or even suspected of anything.

What do you think of that?

      Delete
    2. He is not suspected of anything. What he is actually doing for a fact is trying to influence public opinion against Shaffer before Shaffer has had his day in court. Talk to any attorney and they will tell you his behavior is beyond inappropriate. But it is SOP for Gonzalez.

Don’t look now Marco, but your Republican roots are showing

    3. 2:46 Marco is lobbing threats all over Facebook. What do you think of that?

What kind of attorney of real worth does that? Junkyard dog.

    4. The only thing resembling a threat I’ve heard out of Marco lately is a warning that the City would be screwed legally if his client relied upon city approvals and spent millions of dollars before the city rescinded the approvals.

I don’t consider that a threat. I consider it both common sense, and a public service announcement. He’s letting council and the public know in advance what the repercussions of their actions could be.

    5. Remember that time when MAGA came out and slammed Trump for firing the Fed Governor based on inconsistencies in mortgage paperwork, but she had not been convicted or even charged with anything yet?

Remember when they protested the firing and said “wait. Let’s give her her day in court.”

      Me neither.

      Are we Alabama yet?

    1. Until it turns public sentiment against the client by association and the unseemly acting out is not appreciated by the judge. Most normal people would be super embarrassed to have Gonzalez as their representatimmon.

  10. When I’m seeking legal council, the first thing I ask is for personal references from people he’s beaten in court.

Being liked is the most important thing.

    2. At some point it can hurt the client. Just ask his uncle. Believe the loss ran in excess of $1M: it’s a risk you run when you don’t know how to walk a fine line.

Now that the the ocean is cooling, the global warming hoax has bit the dust, sea level rice is not edible, the trans hype has shown trans= severe mental illness, BLM has been proven a $$ hoax, back in parking spaces is proven a horrible safety hazard, he/him/she/her/it pronouns on your business cards has proven to be the most retarded thing since AMC Gremlins, Margo has nothing else but to do but create another hoax to go after those whom are torpedoing his gravy train of making encinitas the projects.

Dude is going down in history as the most worthless butthead in Enc history and still can't surf lmao.

    Go away man! ;-)
