Lefkowits is positioning himself as an alternative to the current council majority, which includes Mayor Bruce Ehlers and councilmembers Luke Shaffer and Jim O’Hara, along with Marco San Antonio, who was appointed to the District 4 seat in January 2025.
UPDATE: And school board member Viskanta to challenge Ehlers for mayor. She'll have the Democratic Party endorsement and mailers, which might be enough. It worked for Blakespear, though she had much weaker opposition.

We are now entering the local political scene and Encinitas Votes is happy to be a part of allowing people to share their thoughts and feelings regarding who is running. But there needs to be guidelines. So here they are:
ReplyDelete1) Make sure what you're saying is factual even though I'm a compulsive liar. Lying about the candidates I don't like is allowed but you'll need to prove anything said about my candidates in triplicate. If you prove your point, I'll probably just block you or stop the discussion.
2) Don't generalize the whole group, even though that's what I do about other groups.
3) Keep the politics local, unless its a point I'm trying to make. I'll break any rules whenever I want to push my agenda.
4) Be civil to one another, unless I don't like you or you're associated with people I don't like.
5) It has been a long time since EV has blocked anyone even though there's hundreds of people blocked.
6) The local elections are not about what political Party you happen to belong to. It's about dedicating my group to make sure the candidates I want to win, win.
7) We, as adm. and moderators, have a right to also express our thoughts and opinions about a candidate. I'll pretend I'm not biased but it'll be stupidly obvious to everyone. If you aren't voting like I am, be prepared to be shit on without repercussions. If you shit on candidates I want to win, you'll be blocked.
8 If you have a problem with me or a moderator, too bad. I'm too old and too crazy to pretend I care about anything but my candidates winning.
Lastly, be kind. Unless you're attacking someone I don't like. Thank you for participating on Encinitas Votes, another biased propaganda site that pretends it isn't. As we get closer to the election, It'll be more and more obvious how I'm doing my part to push my candidates to the win.

The City of Encinitas is awash in revenue. What the City of Encinitas has is a huge problem from an incompetent City manager,.
ReplyDeleteThe city council holds the ability to rezone the low use Pacific Coast property mistake to match the surrounding zoning and build likewise residential homes on it. This would realize the taxes gained by doing so, and that would also eliminate the huge cost associated with this project with operations and maintenance of this low used property, as well as the gigantic upkeep of a building next to the ocean.
Kranz was and is always an idiot. Arizona Jenny is incompetent as usual and never did a feasibility analysis on this site to present the city council.
The public has a saying decision. It’s called a public hearing other than that it city council’s decision.. You elect these folks and they need to represent our best interest.
This city needs to start making good financial decisions. As we all know, and Greg Lev has clearly explained, this city is awash in revenue. What we have as a gigantic spending problem from poor leadership like Arizona Jenny.
Bruce apparently is under her spell 🥰and we need leaders like Jim to step up and lead us out of this misery.
So far, Bruce Ehlers seems to be implementing Blakespear’s agenda playbook other than a slight slow down in the overdevelopment of Encinitas. 🤮

When PV was owned by the school district, they were entitled to a zoning change through state law, but they don’t own it anymore.
