  2. An interesting juxtaposition showed up today.

Just after I saw a new Gaspar sign declaring ethics matters, I was sent a photo of a Dave Roberts sign that had been vandalized with scratches all through his head shot on the sign.

Dave and his supporters would never consider such a thing even in retribution.

Gaspars supporters, well, not so much.

Go Dave. No on Measure T to save our city. Go to Save Our City for the truth.

Go to the Gaspar Gazette for the lowdown. Lowdown describes the both of them and their sign stealing supporters perfectly.

A great photo would be with the vandalized Dave Roberts road sign and the Gaspars' ethics matters sign together as one. Which one would you choose?

Some creative person with the knowhow out there, please bring this to us.

  4. Maybe it was one of the many women on his staff that filed a harassment claim against the county that cost the taxpayers $300,000!!! They apparently got their claws into his signs.

No women should vote for a person such as this! Read the county report on it. It's disgusting.

    1. Maybe is was his male driver that filed the sexual harassment claim against Roberts that scratched the sign...hey Dave keep it in your pants. Who do you think you are Bubba Clinton??

    2. I don't think Harold complained.

I think the rest of the staff complained that Roberts was showing favoritism to Harold.

    3. EU-That is the truth. In fact, Harold Meza wanted to sue the women for making the claims, as they were indirectly indicating he was "gay" and he is married with children. He wasn't too happy about this. After Filner, it seems as if anyone wants to make a claim about something. The settlement, as I understood it, was because it was easier than to fight it in court, which would have dragged on and on. At first the County said they would not pay anything and Dave would have to take it out of his own pocket. I don't know why they changed their minds.

    4. Roberts wanted to take it to court and expose the three women for the underhanded plants that they were. The county disagreed and settled. He is a good guy, not your typical politician. Gaspar on the other hand works for her special interest handlers and that is all she does. She does not have the smarts and will be out of politics for good in a few months. If some how she does win, she will get run over at that level. Much bigger players that will not put up with blank stares as a response.

    5. What I find abhorrent is that Roberts has a " Driver". Wtf?? If Gasbag defeats him in November will she have a driver also?? Such nonsense. This political class elitism must end!! A complete waste of taxpayer monies!!
What's next ?? Food tasters?? Someone to wipe their butts in the lavatory??
Does Roberts/Gasbag realize that after the coming revolution they'll be lucky to have a job called " Supervisor ". Let alone a driver....

    6. The driver does other things as well. They need a driver to remain productive while always driving around the county. Can't be working and driving at the same time.

You should move to Afghanistan, sounds like your kind of place.

    7. Roberts is doing a terrible job campaigning - I see nothing from him or about him. Gaspar has little else to go on but that office debacle of Roberts. Gaspar takes campaign cash from DCM after voting to settle with him and pay off his legal fees. Gaspars ethics are the pot calling the kettle black - she and her husband are hypocrites.

    8. Olivenhain neighbors.
On the Nov 8 election there are 2 seats opening on the Encinitas Union School District board. EUSD runs 9 elementary schools with about 5,000 children. This is important even if you do not have children in the district. The current board and superintendent have spent millions on non-academic and extra-curricular projects while ignoring the core curriculum and parents’ objections.
Current Board member Patricia Sinay says she is running for re-election and that is false. She was never elected and was appointed by the current failed board to finish a term of a vacated seat. She votes yes 100% of the time as instructed.
Rimga Viskanta is also running and she is currently Vice Chair of the Citizen Oversight Committee for Proposition P Bond fund. She was appointed to that post by this same Board to oversee the Board regarding spending of Prop P funds. When she actually attends a meeting which isn’t very often, she rubber stamps any spending proposed with no oversight whatsoever. We can assume she will continue that trend on the school board.
Leslie Schneider and Ann Katherine Pingaree are both running for EUSD board seats and they are two well qualified and involved parents of students in the district who are committed to making sure your tax dollars are not wasted. They stand for fiscal responsibility and transparency. They will listen to us and put these children’s needs first for a change. Please Vote.

    9. Hmmm...my original query has disappeared...anyway, I wanted to know what motivated Schneider and Pinagree to run. Is it fiscal responsibility and adherence to the 3 R's, or a Trojan horse attempt to influence the curricula in a more "christian" manner? Both websites make no mention of any kind of faith, which doesn't help. The yoga debacle was ugly, and no one needs to go through that again, but it did uncover a very legitimate concern for all parents. I don't know these people, I don't have kids in school, but I vote. I also love to upset the apple cart - it keep everyone on their toes. So which is it?

    10. There is an Administrative Hearing on Tuesday, October 11 at 5:00 pm in the council chambers at city hall about the EUSD Farm Lab approval. If enough people show up to ask that it go to the Planning Commission for approval, it will not be approved by the planning director without public discussion. Here's the link:

      https://docs.google.com/gview?url=https%3A%2F%2Fencinitas.granicus.com%2FDocumentViewer.php%3Ffile%3Dencinitas_89386c45486b4ad6be232782e2bc65c1.pdf%26view%3D1&embedded=true

There are plans for very large EUSD expenditures for facilities. And there's the six-figure salary of the person running the farm that can be mentioned. I urge people to attend. It's an good opportunity to campaign for Leslie and Ann who are running for board seats.

    11. Six figures for a "farmer"??? Does the person have a degree in agronomy? Another example of the free spending that goes on in this district/city. We need changes on the board.

    12. The person is not a farmer and doesn't know how to work the soil, but is a master gardener at working the system.

    13. Three full time aides. That's what our farm lab director's pay could have been used for..

  5. Go to the Coastal Mobility and Livability Study workshop on Saturday at 3 pm. You can stop by anytime before the event ends at 5 pm. It is at the downtown library, next to city hall.

  6. Master gardener? That position needs to be abolished and replaced by aides or a botanist. This city is out of control on over-paying flunkies.
