Encinitas Guerrilla facing technical difficulties

From the Inbox:
The Encinitas Guerrilla's blog and email have been blocked.

There appears to be no limit to the treacherous reach of the Guerrilla's opponents.

This week's entry is attached should you care to post it on Encinitas Undercover.

We hope the Guerrilla is back to health soon! In the meantime, here's the post:

Hmm, What Can I Do to Make Myself Even More Unpopular?

The list of my transgressions and doing the opposite of what Encinitas residents want is so long and thorough that it’s hard to come up with other things to do to increase my unpopularity.

However, I have a few ideas.

I could push to reduce El Camino Real from six lanes to four and to shrink Encinitas Boulevard and South Coast Highway 101 from four lanes to two. Since there’s been such an outcry against reducing North Coast Highway 101 from four lanes to two, I’m sure the other road diets would be seen as an outrage.

Next, I could support the 69-foot, 277-unit apartment complex in Olivenhain and advocate for similar development at all the other HEU sites. That would go deeper than merely getting under residents’ skin.

Audience applause for people who speak during Oral Communications and to agenda items really bugs me. I say the clapping disrupts the meetings and makes them longer, but that’s not the real reason I object. The council and staff almost never get applause, and sincere praise from a speaker is rare. That justifies my anger.

So I’m thinking about strictly enforcing jazz hands and forbidding audience members from talking to each other and passing notes among themselves. That should really stick in their craw.

But I’ve saved my best unpopularity gambit for last. Banning surfing could be my zenith move. Maybe I can inch up to a ban by starting with restricting surfing to certain hours of the day. Eventually, a full ban would achieve my goal of being the most unpopular mayor since incorporation.

  2. The folks the Encinitan people admire most extravagantly are the most daring liars; the folks they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.

    1. 4:06 Anybody the Guerrilla satirizes. Blakespear, the other council members, the city staff and Marco would be at the top of the list.

    2. These people have no confidence of conviction nor core beliefs. Everything is a situational decision based on what others give them in return.

People who are sincere and have researched matters can defend their positions without fear if others present contradictory information. The problem with these people is that they don't have their facts in the first place, so when members of the public show how misinformed their decisions are, all they can do is attack and try to prevent the truth from coming out. This only brings more attention to their bad decisions!

  5. that last Encinitas Gorilla post is the best. It called it exactly and scare the shit out of developers and all the pansy politicians like Blakespear and trolls. Tony is defeated and need to do like Dalager. Hide under a rock. Its never good when you sell out your neighborhood.

    Full sweep next election.

  6. I had heartbearn over encinitas gorrilla because they oppose streetcape, but I have to say, they call Blakespear to the T. I will vote for someone other than Blakespear next election and all her trolls too. Full sweep next election.

  7. Where these soon to be unelected people go wrong. They don't understand about spending other peoples money. Get it? Sound familiar? Of course it does, unless you have been living under a porch your entire life. Drain the swamp. Running a city is business. This is why Encinitas needs dollars and sense people to run things. Not pie in the sky thought of ruining roads, stopping gas service, gigantic ghetto apartment buildings etc.
It is simple. If spending funds you don't have is going to put the city into debt, DON'T DO IT.
Stop wasting other peoples money !!!!

  8. The first thing I'll do as mayor is sell the school property.
Then, maintain the city, what ever is needed for a safe place to live and drive.
What I won't do; ban gas services, road diets, build the 101 plan, allow homeless areas in parking lots and any other dumb idea including the scam of man made global warming to infect my brain. Evidence of failed policies are, L.A, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Sacramento, just to name a few.
And take a guess who runs those cities. Think real hard.

    1. You contradict yourself. You state you will design roads and planning in the same fashion that created the mess in in LA and SF. you will not be elected.

    2. 6:15AM right on one point. Pacific View School will be sold. Her Highness pretty much admitted it to a pal of mine that the city had other ideas on what to do with the property.

Read it again and this time read the words "What I won't do"
Slow down and get your mind right.
It's all about the money. Staying on budget and NOT getting into debt. Debt is your enemy.

  9. When ridicule is our only resource to call bs on failed leadership , who would a thunk it violated freedom of speech to the point where it could be shut down?

Surely not in the land of freedom. Surely I jest and it ain't funny one bit.

That it has is telling. That it has in our little burb by the sea will only serve to unite the citizenry to rally against the powers that be. These powers that be will find out soon enough.

Send them all packing,, but start with a new council majority next election. There is not a keeper in the bunch. Not a single one.

I recall a city that ousted its entire council for less. If only..........This will be a long year ahead and it is getting longer by the week.

  10. Oh' I forgot to add, as your new mayor, I will post everything the wound tight nut case gavin newsom does. He has signed more bills to increase ghetto housing in your neighborhoods. And I thought Brown was whacky (well, he was) but newsom brings a entire new meaning to the word. Watch his interviews, he is almost frothing at the mouth on any subject. Nice going voters

May you and they be treated like they deserve and be relegated to extinction for their spineless obedience to the treasonous orange one.

    1. As your new mayor I will suggest anyone with any sense, read Dr. Michael Savages book "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder"
It was printed about fifteen years ago but is as true today as it was when first printed. You will be stunned and amazed how accurate the book is. And, how the children with A.D.D in adult bodies act the fool now as they did then.
Thank you Dr. Savage for your sage advise and wisdom.

  15. Goggle could probably be pressured to close down a blogsite. Actually. that is probably fairly easy, given you know the procedure for making allegations of "inappropriate content". Usually one does not have to prove anything; the allegation alone suffices.

  17. 11:27am rather than the overt single finger salute, try holding up your hand and say to yourself, read between the fingers.

You can be assured no one will know you are giving them the finger except yourself. If this catches on, it might send as clear a message as the original salute you have in mind and it would be fun to flip them off not knowing what you know. Just a thought my fellow disgruntled citizens.

  18. Free speech is gone in Encinitas. Who closed down Encinitas Guerrilla? Was it the Mayor? One of the council members? Perhaps an Influential person who didn't like satire of city officials?

  20. I just read that the Encinitas government is spending tax payer money to buy 25 percent of other peoples purchases of a new bicycle. That also includes electric bikes
These leftists are insane. That's our money you filthy rats. Not yours. Another example of everything the left does, fails.
As your new mayor, I will remove this obligation to spend tax payer money on bicycle purchases for others.
    Leftism is a mental disorder

  21. 7:30am. That was our spot on Enc. Guerrilla poking fun.
