Homeless forum at library tonight

It should be quite a rumble as both advocates and opponents of the Leichtag homeless parking lot are aggressively trying to turn out their partisans.

  3. Gaspar is a county supervisor. County supervisors have jurisdiction over unincorporated areas of the county, not incorporated cities like Encinitas.

Gaspar's forum is for publicity for her.

She has no power over Leichtag's proposed homeless parking lot in Encinitas.

    1. Gaspar will serve to conduct an OPEN forum and discussion as opposed to the Leichtag one. She will not be the moderator, but is there to support in yes, an election year.

Leichtag's forum requires you apply to be allowed to attend and have approval in writing in order to be let into the room. Leichtag also requires pre-submission of questions.

Say what you will about Gaspar, but what else do you need to know about which will be the honest forum??

  6. Gaspar is a high-functioning airhead. She's an inch deep.

    She's a radical right-winger and Trump supporter.

    She wants to be reelected.

Either Dem is much better choice.

  7. ^^^ As opposed the the party of hoaxes after hoaxes, made up story after made up story and the non seriousness of everything they do and say democrats?

The democrats are a complete horror show of fraudulent behavior and an embarrassment to all serious people everywhere.

The Democrats always find themselves on the opposite side of America. It’s not by accident.

Maybe a baseball bat to the head will knock some truth into you. Probably not.

  9. Yeah Kranz is trying to keep his handlers happy by quoting scripture while trying to revert to his local boy image by getting to say he voted "no." It's an election year, plain and simple. Any other time and he'd be right in there with the other four voting for Leichtag to get an upzone free from a public vote.

Door can't hit him in the a$$ fast enough for a whole lot of folks.

  10. End the homeless problem by each democrat taking into their home one homeless person. They can feed, bath, cloth and shelter him/her. I'll bet even 4:58, 5:21, and 8:12 don't have a homeless person in their home. What a bunch of airheads. Do as I say not as I do.

    1. One of the main objections to this project that was voiced last night is that very few services will actually be provided to participants. Their home is their car. Their bathroom facilities will be at the Y, but during the night, it will be porta-potties. The program operates outside of normal meal times, so I am not sure when they will eat.

Only 5% of the grant will go directly to the homeless. The other 95% will go to administration costs. These people deserve a quality program that should focus on the Encinitas homeless population.

      Delete
    2. "these people" deserve NOTHING for free. That's our tax money stolen from us by threat. Non profit or not for profit is the biggest SCAM under big top other than the lie of man made global warming. If anyone thinks "they the administration" doesn't profit then you are as dumb as a shrub. Wake up, it's a sham and the grifters behind it? The creators of the non profit, as they do profit. In this case grifters that want to change the zoning as that is the end game. We are on to you, you grifting rats.
You are just the same as the rat goodson

  11. So glad to see a few more residents who have become red-pilled. If you build it they will come and many more will come and when their vans don't start (because these libtards might not believe it but their vans aren't given preventative maintenance) they will overflow into nearby cul de sacs and take a dump outside here and there, maybe in your front yard where there is some cover. The petty theft will increase as it has around the weekly free food giveaway at the Episcopal Church. The amount of urine, feces, and trash will increase in all of our neighborhoods. NO ONE ON EARTH has any sort of a right to live near the beach in one of the most expensive cities on earth. Try the Salton Sea! And all of you guilt-ridden bleeding hearts...good riddance!

  12. Funny how quickly people forget about the 60-something woman brutally murdered by two homeless people that broke into her home at 2am. They stabbed this woman 56 times in cold blood...for what...her phone and anything else that they could hawk. Homelessness=mental illness=unpredictable behavior like brutally being stabbed to death.

    ReplyDelete

    1. Being stabbed to death is not a behavior. I think what you meant to say was stabbing someone is unpredictable behavior.

With your confused and paranoid thinking, such errors are expected.

  13. The hatred in your voice and so many others in this blog is very obvious when accusing anyone of confusing or paranoid thinking. Let me guess, you are some miserable cuckold married to a feminist so for being treated like enuch for most of your life, you take your hatred and anger out on others in a blog. #greatlife

    ReplyDelete
  14. I don't see the hatred but I hear concern in your voice with your own life. If you are not happy, you might want to look within.

9:16 - you show very poor logic and hope you normally do better. 8:20 has it right

Homeless= mental illness (higher %) = higher levels of unpredictable behavior. Where do you fail to see the logic?

You might want to worry more about understanding things in your own mind, versus trying to tell other what they meant to say.

It's time to vote out Blakespear and her circus clowns.

  15. I find it interesting that more scrutiny is being required to those who choose to attend the Leitchtag meeting than what will be asked of those who want to sleep at the homeless parking lot. Their rights apparently supersede the citizens who live here and want to ask questions and discuss this issue.

    Not surprising.

What you say is 100% accurate.

Consider this - the Enc City Council had public meeting(s) about sea level rise and had out of town folks who know nothing about the subject attend and speak....and private clandestine meetings about the homeless drug camp on Saxony...

there is good and detailed information in the public sphere for anyone seeking the truth about the folly of sea level rise affecting this town in a material way in the next 100 years...

    hint...these are not serious people

  17. For the believers in the religion of man made global warming will never see the truth. They needed something, anything to believe in so that was the jackpot, "the earth". They got on board with grant money takers and whamo, they "had their something".
Go back twenty years and see all the articles in the New York Times (bird cage carpet), L.A Times (more carpet) concerning rising tides to cover the West and East Coasts. That's right, twenty years ago and now? NOTHING, IT WAS ALL A LIE.
And, here is the topper, these climate clowns are at it again. But now, it's going to happen in 12 years. Lie after lie from fake news to fake facts.
Here's the kicker, these fools still believe the lie. Nothing has changed except moving the time line from twenty years to thirty two years. Follow the bouncing ball from farce to farce.

  20. Notice, the believer always uses the argument of "poor edumacation or ignorance, or, some other nonsense" When in reality, all one needs to do is stay alive and observe long enough to detect science grifters.
Follow the grant money, find the mumbo jumbo.
The problem with the climate crowd is, all they do is hang with other climate crowds. Never taking time to think. Like leftists
And most of all NEVER telling anyone with any sense why the east and west coasts are not under water, why there are more polar bears today than fifty years ago, why all of a sudden acid rain stopped (it never started) and the ooooozone hole got smaller ( they will tell you it was because a certain type of Freon was stopped...ya sure). And one of my favorites was California in a permanent drought. Nope and nope. None of it true. I'm sorry, I left out cow farts causing climate change. Another dandy.
11:39 thinks by throwing the word education around it elevates them to a higher plain. The reality is, without good sense and the ability to reason education is nothing more than reading a book and taking test.

  21. The Bible reminds us that God gave man rule over all the earth. We are simply the caretakers, but Earth belongs to its Creator: “The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness” (Psalm 24:1). We should take seriously our responsibility to care for the earth; it is our home for now. We are to till the soil and work the land—not worship it. Our worship must be directed to the One who created the whole world and holds it in His mighty hands.

      Delete
    3. There's wisdom to be found in the books many consider holy. But people made up most of the content in an attempt to explain inexplicable things. Certain classes of people dominating others had a lot to do with it too.

Then science developed and over time disproved the invented explanations. It took the religions hundreds of years to admit the science is right.

Now they say science and faith are separate things, and people must keep the faith.

      Delete
    4. 2:33 You have zero proof that virgins can't give birth, and even less proof that pi is anything but 3. Regardless, we aren't discussing science here. We are discussing the rise of a rough group of Oakcrest kids who are out of control, and terrorizing our beloved city.

  24. I agree with "Anonymous January 10, 2020 at 8:18 AM". Although I am quite progressive in my politics on a national scale (e.g., big supporter of Warren and Sanders) and even took in a homeless person with my roommates on and off for a few months when I was younger, I have absolutely no interest in allowing the homeless to camp out in their cars in a parking lot in Encinitas. Those who care about the homeless should support efforts to improve the plight of the homeless but should not support increasing their numbers in Encinitas. I met many homeless when one lived on and off with me and my roommates--lots and lots of violence and unpredictability and untreated mental illness. Goes with the territory. No thanks. Big no thanks.

  26. From the mayor's newsletter today:

Safe Parking community meeting this Tuesday

A controversial issue in Encinitas right now is the proposal for a 25-spot safe parking lot where people can sleep when they've lost their homes, but still own a car. At the lot they are provided the help needed to get back into housing and improve their situation before they fall into street homelessness.

The city is hosting a forum to provide the public with information about the proposal this coming Tuesday, January 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Encinitas Community Center, 1140 Oakcrest Park Drive. City staff will present information on the proposed program and answer questions. You can learn more about the forum here and information about the Safe Parking lot and how it will be operated is here.

I'm tremendously grateful for the leadership and helping spirit of the Leichtag Foundation and Jewish Family Services, who put this proposal together. There could not be two more exemplary organizations. The City Council will make a final decision on the proposal at our meeting on January 22.

I’ll leave you with the wisdom of a Latin phrase favored by former Governor Jerry Brown that made an impression on me: Age Quod Agis. It's sage advice, meaning “Do what you are doing” – in other words, fully commit to your roles and activities. Don't get distracted with minutia.

The typical repugnican tact fails to address how every time the dems get back in power they have to repair the damage done by a party that puts their treasonous edicts over the welfare of our nations reputation throughout the world.

The repugnican operators care only for maintaining power. They should be doomed for selling our nations reputation to benefit the 1% of the 1%.
