SB 79 was signed into law Friday.
The law focuses on transit areas where there are no major developments.
SB 79 is changing zoning rules for cities across the state.
The new law allows five and six story building developments in single-family home in areas near transit stations.
The law requires that these projects are built within a quarter mile to a half a mile from transit stops.
If Blakespear and Kranz have their dream, 8-story buildings will be coming along our Coastline. Vibrancy baby vibrancy! With tons of pot shops, drug huts, and tourist bars, just like PB.
ReplyDeleteKranzinitas all the way!! ❤️
- Gonzo 🤡
Exactly gonzo. You nailed it. It’s why Blakespear and Kranz are the two most hated people in Encinitas beside you.
Delete- truth
First wasted tourist, or local partying with the tourist, that has over $100 bar bill and kills a kid or a mom gets a free “❤️ Encinitas” trucker cap.
ReplyDelete- Love Encinitas vibrancy! 👊❤️

ReplyDelete"Outside of SB 79, North County Transit District (NCTD) has already been working for several years to develop mixed-use projects on its properties. A major project planned for the Oceanside Transit Center will bring 500 apartment units, a boutique hotel, expanded retail offerings, and over $100 million in transit improvements."
NCTD also wants to develop the parking lot at Pointsettia....
Now tell us what a "boutique hotel" will do to ease the so-called affordable housing crisis. Whatta joke brought to you by the ones who "go high." Guess they were talking about building heights, not doing the right thing.
DeleteAnd don't for a minute think $tock$ would not have had his republican finger in the pie if given half a chance. We need honest leaders not the kind who owe favors.
DeleteStill waiting for the splitting of single family lots into 12 skyscrapers that Julie Blunder promised was gonna happen....
ReplyDeleteNow do you see why Blake Spear approves the removal of the unhoused near transit/ Cal Trans areas? 🤔

ReplyDeleteOh fun and wonderful!
Just think all these landscapers and handymen (who are often solid human beings) are going to take the bus or the train to work! And the dudes and dudets will 1000% not own cars and take the train to their job at wellgreens !
