DA Dumanis fails to report government worker felonies, allowing criminals to keep accruing pensions

San Diego Reader:
San Diego, known for its mayoral miscreants, also has a goodly number of felonious bad apples further down in the barrel of public servants.

And until a recent audit exposed the problem, repeated failures by San Diego district attorney Bonnie Dumanis have allowed the employee felons to qualify for retirement benefits barred by California law.

  2. Dumanis has been too busy to attend to her job - besides taking campaign payoffs, she is looking for that husky lumberman dungaree outfit for the upcoming gay parade! Baritone Bonnie!

    1. Really? The second part of your comment is so inappropriate. It's 2015! Must we make personal characterizations like this? Imagine making a comment like this about an African American, Jew, or Latino.

  3. She cut Dan Dalager slack on his transgressions in office.

  4. Sounds like their background check method sucked more than Dumanis was deliberately hiding felons beneath her. Probably residue from Pfingst's dynasty. I wanted to see the names of the felons and their charges. The article is pretty vague. I was amused to learn a warden at a prison up north had 5 DUI's and had her son drive her to work. She also had prisoners sewing coats she would sell on ebay.

  5. What about the fricken retard City Council voting to INCREASE the life guard budget.

Are you fricken kidding me? I don't think any of the council members go to the beach or they would see what a waste of money that is. $150k a year could go pretty far for resurfacing our now shitty streets.

First wasting money on the community park long term maintenance. Now the increasse budget for a do nothing department. Carlsbad doesn't have the multimillion dollar budget for lifeguards, yet their beaches are just as safe or safer.

Tony you are toast and I can not wait to see who will replace Lisa.

Man- We need some intelligence on City Council.

    1. The State provides lifeguards in Carlsbad and maintains the beaches. The State has been doing such a poor job maintaining the beach that Carlsbad decided to kick in money for maintenance last year and are doing it again this year. Maybe Carlsbad's council are a bunch of retards as well.

Either you don't go to the beach or you know where all the rip currents are (yes, I know they vary). I doubt many tourists know where they are or even what to do when caught in one. Ask one of the lifeguards how often they have to go out to make sure some swimmer is okay.

Or maybe you'd like to see a few of them drown to make our beaches less attractive.

I can see why you adopted the Crappy Pappy moniker.

  7. Everyone. Don't waste your time with the poorly written links that robot 7:33 provided.. They're ads, but are good examples of how illiterate people can make a clean looking website. Now that I did all the work for you, spare yourself the grief.

  11. While some might not agree with Tony's positions, these kinds of comments are really hurtful to a family. Let's stick with politics. Thanks.

    1. Unfortunately, one's life becomes sort of an open book once in the public sector. Since it can overlap into their politics, it becomes fair game.

    2. I agree with 4:15. When person enters the public arena, he or she had opened their lives up for everyone to see. If there is a huge disruption in someone's life, it can impact how they vote. Not saying it will, but it can.

    3. I agree. You place yourself and your entire family in the public arena when you decide to enter politics. No one should be surprised. If you don't want anything known about your personal life, then stay out of politics. It's very simple.

    4. Or stay off of Facebook would be another way. That's why this is such a confusing thread. It is public information that was shared from Facebook pages of both Tony and his wife's FB thread. In it, she is leaving and he is staying here. Why is this not appropriate to talk about? It can affect us in all sorts of ways.

  12. While interesting on a gossip level, I can't imagine how Kranz's wife moving/their relationship possibly changing would affect any votes. Unless, of course, we have a Ms. Encinitas contest and he's a beauty judge. Other than that...saying it could affect how he voted is just a thinly-veiled excuse to air his personal business. I speak not as Kranz fan, but as someone who understands motives pretty well.

    1. 6:44- Seriously you can't imagine how Tony's vote could be a problem in light of the information about his wife leaving. I can think of so many ways how this could play out. But, since Wc says this is sacred territory, I won't say much more. I don't actually have to. Check out his Facebook page and you will learn a lot about who his pals are.

  13. Kranz had his crack at the council - he has to be voted out, as he has proven himself vulnerable to monied influence.

    2. 12:58- Don't go there, as per Wc's orders. Yes with only an income from the Council where will Tony get the money for his high times at Ridgemont High. Maybe everyone will buy him a drink?
