Beavis & Butt-Head kidnappers get 7 years, 1 year

Times of San Diego:
A man who tried to kidnap a 15-year-old girl as she waxed her surfboard in front of an Encinitas home was sentenced Monday to seven years in state prison.

Jeremiah Owens, 28, was also ordered to register as a sex offender for life. He pleaded guilty in April to attempted kidnap for rape of a minor.

[... Accomplice Christopher] White, also 28, pleaded guilty to being an accessory to kidnapping and will be sentenced to a year in custody on June 19.

  1. GIRLS LIVES MATTER. What kind of world do we live in where two full grown men attempt to steal, the life, sex, and sanity of a 15 year old CHILD, and one gets 7 years and the other ONE freakin' year? You all tell me:
what does this girl get? Does she get therapy for free, does anyone help her to have trust again? In any capacity? I am disgusted.

  2. What we all can do is honor this young women for her courage to do all she could to get away.

If that is not a leader in the making, I will eat my hat. Not really, but the meaning fits.

You go girl. Enough is Enough. Time is up.

No matter how much time either one eventually serves, we can hope their education to come while incarcerated will serve karmic justice, even if the allotted time seems not enough for what they deserve.

Every parent should honor this young woman and hope their own would follow her example.

  3. This is what you get in a liberal progressive state - elections have consequences. 0 chance these guys will serve their full sentence because we the people have voted for politicians and ballot measures to let these guys out early. If this is a surprise to you then please get up to speed on reality - the state has been releasing thousands of violent criminals early for the past few years.
