Simultaneous crashes on Cardiff 101 this evening

This first crash looks like a standard not-paying-attention rear-ender. Not visible in this picture is the white sedan this car rear-ended northbound near the Las Olas stop light.

This one is more of a mystery though. This is southbound near where the parking ends and the Blakespear bike obstacles suddenly jog left toward traffic. This car took some serious damage to its left rear, possibly sideswiped trying to avoid the obstacles.

  1. Now at 18 accidents. When will someone on the council have some sanity and reverse what they did on south 101.

    1. They won't, all the way up to the election.

      Stop the insanity. ABC.

    3. Names on the Facebook group page, 12:01 but I suspect you already know where to find them: https://www.facebook.com/groups/556935515245051/?ref=group_header.

Don't even think of going all Blakespear on folks claiming the info is "anecdotal." There are ambulance trips and sheriff's reports to go with many of the accidents and two lawyers named already on the Facebook page going after this negligent council.

    4. I looked.

There are names or first responder reports for about 6 accidents.

The rest appear to be made up by people with an axe to grind during an election season.

  2. That stretch of 101 is very confusing and distracting visually. It's grossly overdone. I feel relieved every time I get through it safely.

  3. Another bicycle crash on the 101!!
4:40 AM another bicycle down at the post office in Leucadia.
When will Blakespear add some lighting to the 101??

    Encinitas equals FAILURE.

  4. Not a bike friendly area - add electric bikes with greater speed = disaster.

  5. Close all the roads and open to pedestrians only. That will take care of all the crashes you are bitching about.

    1. Yes it would, but that won't make Encinitas less of a FAILURE.

Unfortunately for a man who used to have some reasonable common sense he's gone off the reservation.

He's like a windmill inasmuch whichever way $$ wind is blowing he hops on the horse.

Does not help that his sister is the devil incarnate.

The invoice will need to be paid eventually.

    1. His sister wants to be the first female governor in California. She will put the final nail in the coffin of this once great state. Hundreds of thousands of decent honest hard working people will flee, until Calif puts up a wall much like East Germany.

  8. How many mixed metaphors can you pack into a single sentence?

“He's like a windmill inasmuch whichever way $$ wind is blowing he hops on the horse.”

    What’s money wind?

    Windmills don’t jump on horses.

True however the horses you bet on continually breakdown in the stretch.

      Funny how that works.

How that wretched back of yours?

  9. Posts on EV talk about Blakespear using the Muirs and Kristin Gaspar to help her get elected! How did she do this? She invited her to her "birthday party," for which they brought her birthday gifts. Then she turned it into her campaign launch. That was very tacky to get them their under false pretenses to make it look like they supported her. Did she also roll out a cart of Amway products and ask people to buy from her? It is not for nothing that people call her Snakespear.

    2. 8:15 bringing silly season to a new level.

So, in the last election, 85% of voters were tricked into voting for the mayor, based on their perception that she was endorsed by Muir and Gaspar, because years earlier they were at a birthday party.

So you are calling voters stupid, right? That’s a great way to win votes.

    3. Her challenger was a DOG! She should have gotten more at least 98%!

    4. Any time you are explaining away an 85/15 vote, you are losing.

  10. More crowded overdeveloped Encinitas, more crowded streets, more deaths on roads, more lawsuits and payouts to the injured, more crowded beaches, more bums polluting our town, more THC and bars for party time for tourists, more pollution. Less peace for existing residents. Blakespear's plan for Encinitas

  11. New Headline:
Simultaneous cultural marxism combined with public gaslighting campaign from mayor and her sociopathic far leftist acolytes leads to the group getting completely steamrolled in the next election by alpacas being voted in.

    Stupidity knows no bounds.

  12. EU won’t post about Mark Muir being involved in a shady robocall smear campaign to help his wife that resulted in a $10M proposed FCC fine.

Perhaps one of the biggest local pol stories ever.

Is it because it might get stink on Julie Thunder, who WC Varones supports on his FB page?
