World record for intoxication set in Encinitas

... on El Portal Street. According to the Coast News, the guy who took out the power pole on May 23 blew a 2.5 on the breathalyzer. That is an amazing 31 times the legal limit of 0.08.

The new world champion was not named but was 22 years old.

  1. The story is wrong. It's .25 which is three times the legal limit. You can't have a blood alcohol level that high. .5 is about as high you can go without being dead. For most people they can't get that high.
