Jerome Stocks berates constituent in Union-Tribune comments

Stay classy, Jerome.

Aside from the arrogant condescension, Stocks' assertions range from the misleading to the false and outright absurd. I was going to respond point-by-point in the comments, but Bruce Ehlers did it for me.

  1. How do we get a recall election going??

  2. There's probably not enough time to recall Stocks before the next election is here anyway.

Stocks is up for re-election in 2012 if he doesn't get delusions of adequacy and run for higher office instead.

Now, you could recall his sidekick Kristen Gaspar in the same election if you wanted. That would be a matter of gathering a few thousand signatures, I believe.

  3. Why would the electorate recall Gaspar at this point? The majority of voters have no clue who she is or what she represents. That is why $tock$ is so flippant and arrogant; he now feels invincible, with cronies all around him. With the unfortunate death of Houilhan opening up the council seat for appointment, things couldn't have been more opportune for the kabal. In the year that they have the super majority, watch for the Master Plan to go high-density, Ecke's "in-perpetuity" agricultural property be rezoned, Pacific School sold to developers, raises and pension enhancements - just to name a potential few. 2012 will be the year of the Fatted Hog, where the monied minority walk all over the community for their own benefit.

  4. So what about a Grand Juty investigation into Muir, Stocks and Bond?

  5. All, this is why we have elections. Yes, it's a year away, but we have a chance to "Dump Stocks and Bonds" at that time. I urge you to at least meet/find out what the campaigns of Tony Kranz and Lisa Shaffer are about and then hopefully spread the good word accordingly. At least become involved in the process. We've done it before, and we can do it again, but it will take more people being involved...

  6. Jerome seems to be losing his mind over on Patch. His comments get a little crazy. He keeps trying to get LA Firefighter Steve to admit that he tried to get a job in Encinitas but was not hired, so he has an axe to grind with Muir. Meanwhile, Stocks just keeps repeating the "best qualified" mantra. Spin baby spin.

  7. What a smug jackass! The good people of Encinitas have to band together and vote this clown out - it can't happen soon enough!

  8. If a recall Kristen Gaspar is put on the ballot for 2012, how would her seat be filled?

If it goes to the 4th highest vote. It may be back filled by Stocks, Bond or Muir.

It may, or may not be a good idea, just make sure it’s a solid plan to get rid of the problem people.
