iPad burglars caught

After another late-night iPad burglary at another local school, the thieves got caught at the I-15 checkpoint on their way home to Hemet and Moreno Valley.

Fox 5 has the story.
Thomas Earl Burleson, 20, Trevor J. Williams, 21, and Eyon Zimmerman, 19, pulled into the inspection station on northbound Interstate 5 just south of Temecula in a Lexus shortly after 2:30 a.m., according to police.
Mr. Zimmerman describes himself as a "full time hussler" and "thug" on his Facebook page, and promises lucky ladies, "if u my bitch u get the chain n the ring to match." Seemingly having found some economic success in his career, Mr. Zimmerman recently posted, "this my year i be dreamin of pots of gold at night realshit."

  1. There's your public school education.....nice. The CTA has much to be proud of.

  2. In assigning blame, I think public school teachers are pretty far down the list. Maybe start with gangs & hip-hop culture? Just a thought.

  3. According to Facebook, he went to high school in Washington, so the CTA is exonerated.

    I blame the Inland Empire.

    1. Oops. It looks like he's a product of the CTA after all. He went to West Valley High School in Hemet, but Facebook apparently connected that info to a different West Valley High School in Yakima.

  4. The Enc council supports a resolution to disarm law abiding citizens...way to go Barth, you'll take my gun when you pry it from my cold dead fingers.

  5. Kudos to the Enc CC for knocking one out of the park last night for telling the Coastal Commission where to stick it.
The most interesting part was when the Firefighter Dave Smith help up a letter from the city to the coastal commission contradicting earlier testimony on part of the planning dept to the council. Basically the planning dept lied to the mayor and the council. Great group of workers we have at city hall.

  6. I thought the best part of the evening was when Dave Smith admitted that he was confident that the California Coastal Commission would embrace implementing Class II bike lanes.

When your opposition agrees with you, there ceases to be an opposition.

Thanks Dave and thank you California Coastal Commission for following our own State law to implement Complete Streets!

  7. I think the weirdest part is how WC shut down and started editing and then doesn't report on the biggest event in the the last month. weird for sure. WC are you dying or what?

  8. There were too many weird parts to single one out. Among them were:
    * An opponent suggesting it would be a good idea to have trucks forbidden to use 101. (So long grocery stores, liquor stores, restaurants and people who want to move in or out of the area.)
    * An opponent suggesting the RR right of way is free land for bike lanes. (Think I saw a picture of that in the dictionary under Pipe Dream. Let's hold off on the Streetscape for a few decades and wait till 20 million is spent completing the next four underpasses on the RR and then see if NCTD will feel like donating acres of their land to us for bike lanes. They've already told us "no way within 50 feet" because of the sand, dust and debris kicked up by fast trains.)
    * Opponents complaining about Roundabouts when the agenda item at hand (restriping the highway) had nothing to do with them.
    * An opponent claiming our Roundabouts are not genuine Roundabouts but Traffic Circles. (Roundabouts 60' to 180' diameter vs. Traffic Circles 300' to 600' diameter. Look it up.)
    * No one mentioning the Roundabouts in Birdrock removed 50 stop signs/lights, vastly improving air quality, safety, circulation etc.
    * No one compared the Roundabouts in Birdrock went from 5 lanes to 2 lanes while ours will only go from 4 to 3.

I am glad staff stated that there are only 800 cars per peak hour presently, here on N. 101, yet room for 1800. Also glad so many left the comforts of home to be present and speak at the meeting in support of all the improvements we'll ALL be getting with the streetscape. It's high time. Thank you city council.

  9. All good points Fred. One clarification. Our streetscape converts a 5 lane road to a 3 lane.

  10. These morons were only caught by a lark of their own stupidity - traveling the highway at an obscure hour when the Border Patrol has nothing to do at their checkpoint. The school district did nothing to enhance security even after it was obvious that a burglar ring was systematically knocking off one school after another. Give them 5 to 10 years in the joint to ponder their errant behaviors. (And fire Baird).

  11. I saw that the Special Forces soldier that killed Bin Laden is being denied a pension because he retired before 20 years; had he gone the 20, he'd have received only $2100/month. Fast forward to Mark Muir, the fire chief of a small town - he gets $17,000/month in retirement - what is wrong with this picture?? Pension reform should be the highest priority of this City Council - these parasites are sucking the public coffers dry!!!
