    1. I think you're missing a few clues.

      - First, the lab coat. Scientist?

      - Then the "80 hg" is the designation for mercury on the periodic table of the elements. "HG" is also the initials of "HOWAY GRAMPY."

      - What's "HOWAY?" It looks a little "like HOWDY," but the fourth letter is clearly, deliberately an A.

Google searches for various combinations of HOWAY, mercury, grampy, British, and scientist turn up little of value.

    1. Hermes is the Greek version of the Roman god Mercury. Very clever.

    2. You got it backwards. Roman mythology was derived from Greek mythology. Hermes preceded Mercury.

    3. Indeed. I meant only to refer to the equivalence, not to imply that Roman mythology came first.

  6. Dennis has chosen to become disengaged for his own reasons, but if he chose to reenter the fray, would be welcomed back with success in next years election as part of a community effort to take back our town from the profiteers that have had their way for far too long.

David Meyer, at this past weeks public planning meeting, reaffirmed his position as this city's major density bonus operator and seemed to be proud of this, by offering his help to any density bonus seekers coming down the pipeline.

His three minutes of speaking caused me to wretch just a little before I got control of my impulse to let it all fly out and disturb the proceedings by upchucking whatever was in my system at the time. This puke is one of a triumvirate of community destroyers, along with his other buddies who were there, like A..ream and Doug Harwood.

I hope the Planning Commission can see past their own ??? for a change and listen to this communities genuine concern for the disastrous effect that these profiteer types have had on our town. It is about time to reclaim the specialness we all have loved about this community.
