I see the City Manager is getting her performance review this week. That should be an easy one.
She sets the culture at City Hall where citizens are the enemy and are brushed off. All good ideas are filed in the trash and of every little thing she dreams up is an emergency. End result is nothing gets done. What decisions she does make are bad for Encinitas existing residents.
All excuses and no delivery. Time and time again. Grade range F to F-.
Anything below a D should be an instant firing. Lets step it up for Encinitas and get a good City Manager.
OK, I get it. You perceived you were personally burned by Brust, so you're on a campaign to demean and dismiss her. So far, nobody posting here has agreed with you. You are a minority of one.
Exactly, 9:22. 8:36 is very likely a fired city employee or one on probation and close to getting the boot. Word from inside city hall is non performers and those with fat files of complaints from residents are feeling the heat. It's about time, and we can thank Brust.
Brust can't manage our city more than Trump can manage our nation.
She is a scatterbrained with no vision or plan to get needed project accomplished. Watch as no projects get completed at City Hall and tons of tax dollars are wasted as the pensions continue to be outrageous.
Of Course Brust doesn't talk about the upcoming huge pension payment increases coming right?
Waite and see. Brust is a terrible City Manager and most go.
Encinitas Blvd is a disaster - the lights are synced poorly, backing up traffic for blocks; traffic into Lazy Acres is gridlock; you can't see advancing traffic when exiting south off the freeway; and the diminishing patience/courtesy/skill levels of the average driver compound the issues.
Let the homeless in and give all the City Money to homeless and food camps.
Tell San Diego and Oside to send all the homeless to our beach community and Encinitas will give them free room and board with a few bucks per day to buy whatever they want whether a beer, weed, or lotto ticket. All on the tax payer of course.
The latest conversation is that the council wants to consider using Pacific View as a homeless shelter. That's a great idea until PV can get the funding necessary to build as designed. I don't think they're getting any real donations.
If Pacific View were used for this purpose, it would degenerate rapidly. The City would have to spend substantial amounts to bring the facilities up to standard, then upkeep would be considerable. Once you open that door, you create a precedent that could become entrenched. You'd also need constant supervision, requiring a new position in the city; unless they place the City Manager's office there, so she can clean the cans.
Why just Pacific View? Set up a tent Cities at City Hall, the community center, the new lifeguard/Police Binikini patrol station.
Welcome all sketchy homeless. Encinitas welcomes you and is willing to share all our City facilities with you. You already occupy the former library. No its time for us to turn over the keys to the whole City.

DeleteWho was better than Brust? Vina?

DeleteWord from city hall is City Manager runs around like a scattered brain trying to put out one imaginary fire after another.
DeleteResults show she has not plan, employees know she's a sad joke and nothing good gets done.
Developers and businesses seeking alcohol licenses love her because anything helping to file the huge Pension DEBT is her friend.
Resident get screwed while she is employees by our City.
Right. You nailed it moron. Ha.

Trump? Unemployment at 4%, stock market up 20%, increase in consumer spending, housing prices up 6%....yeah, too bad Hillary isn't in there.
Delete"The first three years of Trumps term will still be Obama's economy". Sean Hannity.

ReplyDeleteSolution is one lane in each direction and a little roundabout at every intersection.
DeleteHorses! Instead of fender benders, you'd just get a hoof thrown your way!

"Conversation?" Only city insiders use that weird language. It's right up there with "visioning exercise."
DeleteWhere is this "conversation" taking place? Let me guess: among the three, away from the confines of city hall.
