Hershell Price slams Olga Diaz

Encinitas Votes:
Self-proclaimed environmentalist, Olga Diaz, dodged another environmental vote today by not attending the San Dieguito River Valley JPA meeting where she is a voting member. A motion was made to Oppose the Marisol project planned for the Del Mar North Bluff. She missed the meeting. Why would that be? Because Marco Gonzalez has endorsed her and he has been retained to represent Marisol. She seems to always to side with developers while proclaiming her environmental values.

If you appreciate our environment and want to keep some of our open spaces here in North County, vote for anyone other than Olga Diaz. She is definitely not an environmentalist.

If you want to elect a true environmentalist, vote for Terra Lawson Remer for District 3 County Supervisor.
Diaz and Lawson-Remer are in a three-way race for the Supervisor seat held by Kristin Gaspar. Presumably Gaspar will make the top two in the primary and either Diaz or Lawson-Remer will advance to a close election in November.

  1. I don't know any of the people in this little piece of gossip. What I will say: what a piece of slander. You must be a democrat. If you can't beat them in an election just make up FAKE news and hope it sticks.

  2. You don't know these people and yet you defend one of them. Good grief.

  3. 10:45 am = pure tripe.

Marco is in the extremely unhealthy pattern of selling his soul to the highest bidder.

He is selling his spirit out with zero accountability to his own character or truth.

His is going against his own psyche.
He is not following his own core beliefs or at least it appears this way.
He is succumbing to his shadow self it appears.
    Fragmented and conflicted bigly.

Folks whom sell their souls out for money and/or influence often go against their own psyche which often in turn leads to serious health issues or dread diseases.
Trust me I know this from experience.
I am not saying I want him to get an illness or something as such.
Listen to your psyche even of it means you will have less money.

Less is always more in the world of truth and reality alfi.

  6. Typical repugnican response.

Whoops, we now have alternate facts ??? thanks to the spineless catering to the daily disgracer in chief.

Anyone who pays attention should be outraged.

Then again the cult mentality chooses to remain blinded in order to put party affiliations above the welfare of our nations ideals.

    Locally, the same persists.

The history of our nation when written will judge harshly this hopefully temporary misstep, and all of you who continue to support a tyrant who constantly lowers the bar of acceptable behavior for a world leader will learn hopefully something, anything.

The repugnican party is no more. They are all willing accomplices to the degrading of our democracy.

What I find the most disturbing, is how easy it has been to dismantle our grand experiment that provided a beacon of hope and light to the world.

This will be ultimately be rectified by the people. Corporations be damned in respect to exerting influence. Get the money out by repealing the worst Supreme Court decision to equate corporations to individual single voters. Citizens United will be addressed.

It is curious that some right leaning wingers can go on ignoring the obvious.

Not fit to hold the office could not be more applicable, and this is reenforced daily by going for a new low that should not be allowed if not for putting party above our nation. Sickening!!!!!!!!

  7. Pam and Hershell have been longtime republicans. That they realize their chosen party has been compromised beyond redemption should be telling.

I appreciate their ongoing involvement in our local issues. Party affiliations does not matter to this voter when the greater good is at stake.

That some rep. party operators care not for how their leader has destroyed our nations ideals and furthered the influence of the monied 1% over our nations reputation in the world, is, or rather should be, disqualifying.

For you republicans who continue to tow the line of your leader, wake the f up. Your party is no more. You are now a part of a cult of personality and it is your own doing.

There is still time if any of you still have a spine. Stand up for our nation and declare your leader is nothing to be associated with. You just might save what is left of the republican party.

  8. 10:48 and 1:26 you must be a Bernie socialist. Your "grand experiment" was a total failure. Why would anybody want to continue it. If you don't like America as it is, then try another country. Venezuela, Cuba, Russia, China come to mind.

    2. Sanders "socialism" would benefit the majority of the faltering middle class. You bought the Kool-Aid that tax cuts to corporations and billionaires will somehow 'trickle down'. News Flash - it doesn't and it won't. The tax money should be spent on infrastructure and benefits for the majority of citizens - not the 1%. Oligarchy preys on the naive ignorance of those propagandized by blatantly false misinformation. This is for 1:36 PM and any others with kool-aid stains around their lips.

    3. Cooper: Do you know how all -- how much though? I mean, do you have a price tag for -- for all of this?

Sanders: We do. I mean, you know, and -- and-- the price tag is -- it will be substantially less than letting the current system go. I think it's about $30 trillion.

Cooper: That's just for "Medicare for All," you're talking about?

Sanders: That's just "Medicare for All," yes.

Cooper: Do you have -- a price tag for all of these things?

Sanders: No, I don't. We try to -- no, you mentioned making public colleges and universities tuition free and canceling all student debt, that's correct. That's what I want to do. We pay for that through a modest tax on Wall Street speculation.

Cooper: But you say you don't know what the total price is, but you know how it's gonna be paid for. How do you know it's gonna be paid for if you don't know how much the price is?

Sanders: Well, I can't -- you know, I can't rattle off to you every nickel and every dime. But we have accounted for -- you -- you talked about "Medicare for All." We have options out there that will pay for it.

  10. 1:36pm A response like yours shows how ignorant you are choosing to be. This was expected.

You must not be driving on our roads.

You must not be benefitting in any way from living in this country and having a gov. provide infrastructure.

You must not be planning to receive any social security or medicare when the time comes.

    I could on and on.

Your thinking, if it can even be called thinking, by comparing the socialism of the nations you brought up to what we all are the recipients of here, is just plain dumb.

You have to know better, and know the difference between what our gov. provides to all of us. If you really believe what you are posting, you are one sad excuse for a citizen of this nation and this community.

I know this is pissing into the wind, but I am glad to not know you.

Perhaps I do, and perhaps you may know me, but I am glad to stand up for our nations ideal until the cows come home, or better yet when your ass clown is voted out along with many of his enablers. Our democracy is at stake and you don't give a damn as long as your chosen party maintains its stranglehold on our once proud nation.

Being a beacon of hope and light for the world is something I was proud of and hope to be again.

    Make America decent again.
