Someone called Mali disgusting and she freaked out in front of everyone. So typical..

    1. She admitted that she was offered Allison's position. Of course, She turned it down. 🙄

    2. She thanked Alison for stepping up so she didn’t have to. Hilarious. No way was this counsel going to appoint someone as divisive as Mali.

  7. Was Leticia Kranz or Fani Gonzalez there this evening?

  8. None of the outgoing could help themselves as to a person they sniped at the voters. Allison could not keep herself under control and joined in the attacks.

Marco and Mali exemplified the council losers by being nasty and mean as they attacked residents at large, continuing to promote their lies that the guys will bring lawsuits to Encinitas. True that Mali struck out at Bruce after an audience member took issue with her remarks. Mali was so vitriolic she was actually booed by the otherwise polite audience.

      Why is Mali still here?

Does she still think she’s getting a be house from the Freakshow for being their RACIST screamer?

    3. So the fat-ass Burns spoke too?

That aught to be a riot.

  10. The after party at Roxy last night was funtastic. All the campaign losers were huddled up outside on the street patio, while the winners smiled inside.

  11. Kranz's legacy - over developed landscape, over loaded infrastructure and the demise of citizen input in how their community changes. Speedy the rat crawls back into his hole.

    ReplyDelete
  12. When Kranz supporters were lauding the fired three, I kept wondering what alternate Encinitas they were describing. Hinze threatened to sing a Whitney Houston song (I swear, she did) rambled on about how she’s been dreaming of this day, and how her mother and she texted through every council meeting. HR Allison admonished the incoming council to follow the law. Kranz recited a poem.

Glad Kristene Schindler id’d herself because she/he has bigger shoulders than a quarterback.

Mali alternately made it about herself while she insulted the rest of Encinitas. She was predictably angry and coarse, not realizing that her insider track has hit a hard stop. She says she’s gonna stay here but I’m taking bets on for how long.

Destiny was last seen hitching a ride outside Barstow.

Marco the hater did his usual thing. Someone needs to tell him to change his look. Maybe that will help his presentation because his schtick is old and predictable.

I def like Sheila better as a citizen. She’s a hoot.

Garvin slunk in while gal pal 🐽, surrounded by her last grasping devotees pretended to support the people she screwed over last election.

Bruce, Luke and Jim were all gracious, all equally chocked up on the dais and reminded us all they are non partisan and focused on the city and residents, not partisan politics.

Putting the few deadheads aside, it was a standing room only event with the majority of normal, caring residents cheering the three new council members into office.

It’s a brand new day in Encinitas and it’s as bright and sunny as it could be!

  13. In summary it was crass (Kranz, Blackwell, Hinze, Mali, Marco) vs. class. Put all the statements side by side and the contrast cannot be denied.

The bitterness with which Blackwell and Kranz in particular spoke came through loud and clear and their attempted rewrites of recent history were pathetic. Mali and Marco are in a crass class of their own as they put on full display their frustration at hitting that insider cut off wall. Like toddlers throwing fits in the supermarket!

    1. Dbags when they lose. Dbags when they win. Why are you surprised when dbags act like dbags?

      Delete
    2. They'll be dbags tonight too, hypocritically telling the council not to be hypocrites around appointment vs election.

As always, OK for them, but not OK for anyone else.

They were already waiting to pounce when Bruce correctly made Joy Deputy Mayor.

Bruce should appoint because UNLIKE fellow dbags, Kranz and Blakepear, Bruce/council will agree on someone worthy, whether they are an R, a D or NPP.

Amazing how resistant #malimarco is to good city stewardship.

      Delete
    3. I'm not surprised. I couldn't imagine this going any other way except even worse behavior than they're currently exhibiting.

      Delete
    4. Oh come on 10:35. There are a group of people that haven't been able to stop whining and complaining about appointments for years, non-stop. Until...right now. Who are the hypocrites again?

It is hilarious to read the verbal gymnastics required to justify their stupidity.

      Delete
    5. Do you not know how the deputy mayor appointment rotates? Now who's hilarious? You.

And my god Blakespear and Kranz could not stop crowing over their "clear mandates" when they were elected. Not to mention repeating that the people must love what they're doing b/c they elected them.

Crap reached critical mass and their imaginary support collapsed. So yeah we will keep talking about the losers considering what they've done to this city.

And finally Joy did not look joyful she looked like she was unhappy and had this oh-shit-now-what when the guys took their seats. And yah we will enjoy her confusion and discomfort over having to finally think for herself. Hinze her "mentor?" Lyndes is in trouble now.

      Delete
    6. My comment was about an appointment vs voting for a D4 replacement for Ehlers and hypocrisy. WTF are you talking about 11:16?

Whatever it is, sounds like a pile of bullshit. You're drawing conclusions based on what you think of someone's facial expression?

      Delete
    7. Huh? If you mean Lyndes uhhh yeah. She was beaming all over the place and leaning forward when Mali verbally attacked the room. Same for Marco. She was scowly and arms folded when the guys took their seats. So yeah and plenty of people noticed her change in demeanor.

So appointment vs. voting for D4, Ehlers has said publicly and repeatedly that with the caveat that an appointed person would not run in 2026, he would save the city money and appoint. Even your Kristine Shindler advocated for that so your camp is not all on the page you think you are. Guess you'd better get that under control huh.

Marlon is angling hard for an election ignoring the fact that Bruce has made those comments about an appointment that would not run in 2026 and claiming this is some kind of litmus test for Ehlers. It's not. Kranz is telling people that he "has someone who can win in D4" and that would be Marlon.

Personally I need a break from the fauxgressive nasty-mouthed enlightened crowd. I'm a Dem and they don't even begin to represent me.

  20. The difference is 10:51 the ball is no longer in your court! I don't want to rub it in, but you did decisively lose three seats to NPP candidates. Destiny the Redeemer was crushed and the incumbent Allison was crushed even worse. Even 12 year local boy Tony took a beating. Oops, guess I rubbed it in after all.

I don't care if they appoint or run an election. They have the majority any which way. 👊👊👊

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Then you were responding to a comment on an entirely different subject. Oopsie. I am interested in appointment vs vote and that's why I wrote about it.

      Delete
    2. Allison was not an incumbent, although she let others falsely claim she was. She was running from an appointment.

What a contrast between the two sets of council members. Kranz would immediately have made one of his newbies deputy mayor. Ehlers had the grace and humility to recognize Joy's senior status. Now let's see if Joy can think for herself. Jury is out.

      Delete
    3. Look how the election went, weird people think anything would change with another election versus appointment. Majority still stands either way and voters were pretty clear.

      Delete
    4. That's the other thing. 1:16 is correct, is Marlon planning to run a "they're MAGA" campaign against other D4 candidates? Wake up no longer working. So what can he run on? His name calling of people who politely disagree with him? His penchant for calling them "Sunshine?" How he tells whites that they didn't work for what they've got? There were witnesses to that one.

  22. Love how Marco speaks of how council members find themselves in difficulties and lectures the audience on a lack of hubris. After fighting viciously to protect Kranz and et all for the problems they created, Marco lecture other speakers on their lack of class. "We have homelessness, cycling accidents, the global climate crisis, flooding...we're ground zero for housing issues..." Obviously, the outgoing council are heroes to Marco and everyone who voted for the new council lack "perspective, grace, and class." No wonder he has family members who are suffering from being around him even more than we are. I feel sorry for his kids.

    3. Never said that everyone voting for new councilmembers lacked perspective, grace, or class. I was specifically talking about Doug's comments in that forum, and reflecting that there are some of you out there who can't seem to help your toxic selves.

    4. Why did you make it a plural instead of simply responding to Doug alone. Those present felt attacked by you, too. Gonzalez MO--insult in the plural and then come back later and claim to have been misunderstood! Boohoo! "Nobody understands me!!" says Marco.

      Delete
    5. Those present feel attacked by anyone who doesn't believe everything they do in the same way they do. It's always the same old song of hypocrisy and double standards. Enjoy the win before it all comes crashing down as it always does.

      Delete
    6. The ever-victims felt attacked? How surprising. Maybe because they know their behavior is as reprehensible as Doug’s was that night.

      Delete
    7. How is it Marco got thought college and can't understand the difference between a singular and a plural? If you have an issue with Doug, don't make it a plural unless he is a Margo/Marco sort of split personality.
