Pardon me

With the administration changing, should the outgoing mayor have the power to pardon the policymakers and road engineers responsible for the bike infrastructure deaths over the last few years?

Obvious answer: not necessary! No one is ever held accountable in this city. But why not?

  1. Staff we think are doing a terrible job are simply keeping their jobs. They’re acting under direction from Kranz, Blakespear, Barth, $tock$.

Bruce and the new council plus the not yet hired city manager need to make it clear to legacy employees that things will change or they’ll be on probation and soon out the door.

      No probation needed or wanted.

      Fire at will.

    2. Yes, they are at Will employees. And yes, you can fire them at any time. However, to reduce the risk of having to pay out so much as a penny to these creeps over their inevitable lawsuits you want at least some record of misbehavior. Guaranteed even the worst have nothing in their files. To a PRA and you’ll see.

      Delete
    3. Doesn’t matter.

They are being let go because their position is not needed.

It has nothing to do with their lack of performance.

      Delete
    4. Before firing, the new Council must modify pension and benefits regulations. The malignant deadweight at the City must be cut out without a trace left to reinfect the community.

  2. Mayors and council members have been serving the building industry and special interests and not residents. Looking forward to that changing as well as a changeover in staff. Hopefully some will self eliminate after seeing the writing on the wall.

    1. Not needed. A mass firing is needed.

    2. So Marco can jump up and down and say that lawsuits have been brought down on the city by Bruce? Don’t think so.

Doesn’t mean City Hall can’t be turned around fast not slow, but guaranteed there are no complaints in any of the personnel files so let’s start there.

    4. Clearly you've not got HR experience. Anyone can sue anyone for anything these days and they do. The better a case you have against someone, the less likely they are to prevail.

Not hard to imagine Marco salivating over wrongful termination claims so let's come prepared.

    6. 10:27 I'm not saying "hire a man", nice try. I'm saying hire someone who's competent. Jennifer Campbell has continued to disappoint residents and create problems within staff. At 300K a year, you'd think we could find someone better. FIRE Jennifer Campbell!

      Delete
    7. Yeah right 10:27. It just feel right when men are in charge I guess, no explanation needed.

      Delete
    8. How did Firing Jennifer Campbell suddenly turn into, it's all the mens fault. We shouldn't be talking about whether it's a man or woman in office, we should be talking about the quality of the job done.

Jennifer Campbell has continued to fail the City of Encinitas at $300K a year.

It's time to fire Jennifer Campbell and replace her with either a female or male who is more qualified.

      Delete
    9. Like Jim and Luke level qualified?

      Delete
    10. 11:12 like Assistant Manager qualified. Which Jennifer Campbell is not, given her tattered history with residents, events and employees, especially when we’re paying her 300K per year.

  8. FIRE ALL THE STAFF!!!!! THEIR USELESS!!!! Bruce, Jim and Luke can handle everything and it will be 1000% better. No more stupid inflated salaries and pensions. No more union scum. Delete
    3. Shouldn't be hard to get to work considering all Kranz could manage was letting Mr. Blakespear design roads and endanger cyclists and sitting on his tied hands.

What exactly is Kranz's legacy again? Hinze's with her missed meetings and vacant out to lunch stare? Lyndes who does her meeting prep at the meeting by free associating in front of the room? Blackwell who had her votes handed to her in advance?

Not going to be hard to look good next to that lot of do nothings.

“In this groundbreaking book, Adair reveals how politicians lie and why. Relying on dozens of candid interviews with politicians, political operatives, and experts in misinformation, Adair reveals the patterns of lying, why Republicans do it more, and the consequences for our democracy. He goes behind the scenes to describe several episodes that reveal the motivations and tactics of the nation’s political liars, show the impact they have on people’s lives, and demonstrate how the problem began before Donald Trump and will continue after he’s gone. Adair examines how Republicans have tried to change the landscape to allow their lying by intimidating the news media, people in academia and government, and tech companies.”

The following council meeting approved a high density all affordable housing unit right next to Kranz’s property on Hygiea.

Then go for 10 stories right next to Arizona Joy’s house

And an equal 10 stories right next to Hinze‘s property.

Make sure it’s to the south of their properties so they get the full sun block Agha and also approve one to the west so they have no views to the west at all, And shaded all afternoon.

    4. "couldn't be bothered" is how you describe maternity leave?

    5. Not talking about maternity leave. Many unexplained absences aside from her little darlings as an excuse

    6. It was pre-baby that Hinze was described a local business owner as looking “more spaced out than anyone I’ve ever seen.“. Out to lunch is nothing new has nothing to do with babies.

  51. I think Kranz may have succeeded in making Dalgher's kitchenette look like petty cash. How much does a trip to Israel cost? How much did he get for always voting for developers, even when he didn't have to?

    3. So true. Laughing all the way at the rest of us. Ask $tock$ about his upgrades. Never busted.

  52. Gonzalez only one left standing to try defending kranz. Sad.

  53. Watching the replay, Kranz is mumbling and going through the motions. Disgusting of corruption.

  54. Fire most of the planners. Demand whoever is left that they be a current member in standing with the national board of certified planners. This national organization of city planners requires yearly recertification tests that focus on, wait for it, planners to be responsive to residents concerns. As our senior planner Todd who was there last night, said during a council meeting years ago, we planners are not here to represent the residents. We are here to approve every developer project that comes before us. Quote, unquote, verbatim. There were a few seconds when the council chambers was dead quiet. Todd is still here? Obviously.

    1. Planners work at the pleasure of Kranz. If you don’t think he cooked up all his ready responses together with them in advance then you are a special kind of gullible. New sheriff in town, no more shenanigans like we’ve seen under the higher up planners. You know who you are get ready for personnel files that actually have complaints in them.

    2. The elections were over a month ago. Move on yourself, and give the stalking a rest (that applies to many of your victims in Encinitas).

    3. No stalking, just calling out a shit stirrer when I see one.

    4. Then call out a shit stirrer. See, easy. Stop posting personal info obtained from your stalking. It's a creepy hobby.

    7. Ahhh...because 9:11 used the word "victim" to refer to the people this person like to stalk. What word do you prefer? Stalkee? Target? Lucky Encinitas resident?

  56. Kranz and the clown council are absolutely disgusting. Annihilating Encinitas. You should all be completely ashamed of yourself.

The city attorney is completely incompetent. Jace is a disaster and needs to be fired immediately. Thank the Lord, the public was smart enough to fire the city council.

    1. 5:30- OK Amanda. We’ve heard you say that before. Now go and try and have a good day..

I hope you get some suckers to join you and one of your Peru trips so you can make some money and quit living off other people.

My God, you victim mentality people are such whiners. Get up do some push-ups go do something productive today Like go, clean up some trash along some of the fentanyl zombie encampments and you’re gonna feel much better about yourself. Maybe help some of those losers into drug treatment programs. It’s very sad.

Just try it sometime, Amanda. Think positive, do positive actions, and you’re going to start feeling a lot better about yourself..

Don’t emulate Kranz. He has been a loser since day one. Just ask any of his prior schoolmates once he moved to Encinitas with his family of newbies.

    3. MAGA are the ultimate fragile victims. Everything is a conspiracy theory that victimizes them.

Science is a conspiracy. COVID is a conspiracy. Any election loss is a conspiracy. Judges and verdicts are a conspiracy. The FBI and DOJ are a conspiracy. Trans and gay people are a conspiracy. Minorities are a conspiracy. Non-Christians are a conspiracy. Young people are a conspiracy. The news is a conspiracy. Tech companies are a conspiracy. City staff are a conspiracy.

      It’s exhausting.

      2,125 victim points awarded.

Question: what ever happened to the election security problems? It seems the only evidence of such is outcomes you don’t like.

  58. Fun fact: if you believe that every city attorney the city ever had has been corrupt or incompetent—and same for every city manager and city planner—then the problem is you.
