Carlsbad police arrested a 33-year-old man Saturday in connection with a two-vehicle collision that killed the other driver.
At 5:20 a.m. Saturday, officers were sent to the intersection of La Costa Avenue and Piraeus Street in response a traffic collision, the Carlsbad Police Department stated in a news release.
Police said that a Subaru crossover collided with a Nissan pickup truck. "The driver and sole occupant of the Nissan was transported from the scene and later pronounced deceased at a local hospital."
Police arrested the Subaru driver, 33-year-old Philip Webb of Oceanside, on suspicion of driving under the influence, "causing injury or death and vehicular manslaughter," officials said.

ReplyDeleteYeah, Bruce and the other council members are trying to figure out how to keep CRC happy and give them more. Grant funding.
DeleteAll while our children get rundown on city streets.
Pot, shops, and bars and more alcohol flowing. Heck, yeah. City Hall green light. Hey Bruce, , I think you better start waking up. You’re not gonna make the next election. π‘
Not in Encinitas, accident was in Carlsbad. Irrelevant for Encinitas.
Delete*** Encinitas real-time news***
ReplyDeleteThe DUI rate is sky high and seems to be growing.
What the fuck is this city doing?
It seems like everything Shitty Hall does is to promote PB Norte, bar drinking and smoking weed, and could give a shit about kids walking to school and the beach. All I’ve seen is lip service to parents of a dead child and daughters of a dead mother.
As the liquor licenses and the drugs keep flowing heavily in Encinitas. Booze and drug capital of North County.
Kids seem to be lost on this city council’s agenda.
How to get your kids killed in North County, San Diego,CA.
ReplyDeleteSend them to school in the City of Encinitas on any of the city streets.
The city actively promotes drug use along with endless alcohol and anything to fuck up your mind.
Kids?
Kids don’t pay the City bills like the alcohol flow does. What about all the death?
Well, all of the police services are busy, mopping up the death mess from all the bars.
Yep, that’s your City Council at work today. Oh, that’s right, they’ve been off for two months now. No worries, people keep dying and kids keeps getting hurt and killed. π’
All the while the Shitty Hall staff is making poor decisions to pump more and more alcohol and drugs into the community.
Hey........you friggin' morons..........you blame the City for the stupidity of people driving? You are as dumb as those drivers.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of the anti gun crowd. They always blame the gun.
IT DOESN'T SHOOT ITSELF YOU IDIOTS
I stand with kids and families who love this former kid friendly beach community.
ReplyDeleteNow it’s all about more and more alchohol pumped into the veins of drivers.

The only way to get things done in Encinitas is to save for better conditions.

* The only way to get things done in Encinitas is to sue for better conditions. Thank you grieving families for trying to get the City to pivot.
DeleteHow does someone running a light become the city's responsibility? Sue the driver. People have to be responsible for the operation of their vehicles.
DeleteThe dramatic, exaggerating, whiny little bitches are out in full force this morning, as always.
ReplyDeleteThat would be those that hate children.

I hope the City loses $25 million and is forced to pivot.
It doesn’t need to be this bad. The Shitty Hall needs to be forced to change their ways. Wake up Bruce.

I have been able to avoid DUIs by riding my bike on the sidewalk instead of driving. You can get to all the prime locations like Bier Garten, FoxPointless and even the Regal Seagull (if you want to make fun of small dicked canadians). It's great you guys, you can get absolutely sauced and not worry about anything. Don't wear a helmet either--makes you feel oh so free!
