Monster House Suzy Brown back in court today

10 News:

A preliminary hearing is scheduled to begin Monday for a woman accused of stealing more than $1 million worth of fixtures from her repossessed Olivenhain mansion, which was dubbed the "Monster House" by neighbors.

Suzy Brown allegedly stole the fixtures from the 16,000-square-foot home she built in 2006 to use as a high-end drug rehabilitation business. Brown, a retired electrical engineer, lost the 15-bedroom, 17-bathroom home after neighbor complaints prevented the business from getting off the ground.

It's all the NIMBYs' fault!

  5. Mixed use - residental and rehab services - you've got code issues. Should have paid off the City Council to issue a variance for "guest services". Fatty $tock$ could have been a guest with eating disorders.

  6. Not on subject, but the City Council is discussing the zoning change for the Pacific View School site in old town Encinitas on August 17th. The Superintendent of Schools has threatened to sue the council for not rezoning, but is playing "nice" and 'negotiating'. Obviously it is a staged set-up to get this property high-density developed. Watch for $tocks, Bond and Gaspar to change their tunes this time and reposition for development. Houlihan is an unknown, as she is now erratic. STOP THE DEVELOPMENT OF PACIFIC VIEW - it was intended for public use, not resale for private use only.

  7. What's with the Ecke rezone petition - planning to subdivide again? He's having the obligatory public meeting on Monday August 15 from 6 - 7 PM, Barn 2, Ecke Ranch, Saxony Road. This should be interesting...

  8. Ecke is petitioning for a 3 lot split from the one that now exists. It appears as tho he has taken a different strategy from his previous debacle, when the voters trounced his efforts to subdivide the land on Quail Drive. This was land he vowed to keep in agriculture in perpetuity or at least as long as it didn't inconvenience his profits. He claimed dire economic consequences if he weren't allowed to renign on his promise, but the votrs didn't buy it. None of his doomsday predictions for his buiness happened either, proving that they were mere fabrications in an attempt to confuse the voters.
So now he will take step increments as not to arouse opposition. Split the lots and wait a couple of years then take the next developmental step - he has the time to wait, especially in a depressed economy. McMansions are on their way and Ecke will probably sell what's left of the flower business that is now in Guatemala.

  9. An Ecke promise is like a cloud of smoke - changes shape rapidly and doesn't last long.
