The stunning 237 La Mesa Avenue.

  1. Whoever buys this will tear it down and build a twinhome and make a fortune. Hell I may just buy it and use it as a place for the homeless.

    1. Lololollll. Maybe now you yahoos will understand that an unelected organization that has TOTAL and COMPLETE control over what happens should be run out of the state. Blakespear is quoted as saying " I'm shocked". Lololollll. What a maroon she is... here's an idea Cathy, don't vote for any of those commissioners that screwed over the city...oh wait, the people have no rights to decide what happens, no right to vote for the commissioners. A bunch of technocrats made that decision for you. Good luck with that.... naive and stupid you are.
May I suggest the COE hire Marco to sue the CCC. Certainly our city attorney can't/ couldn't do a decent job of representing us in court.. but he'll still collect his $1M per year for poorly representing the city.
Let's see if this attack against the CCC sees the light of day, my last was deleted by the editor of the blog.

    2. Next thing we know is she'll be telling us she shocked that people hit by train are being killed in Encinitas. She's another in a long line of idiot politicians in this city.

  3. Your previous post was probably deleted because of the directed hate to certain factions. You get a pass this time. Take this as a learning opportunity for the future. Even old dogs can learn new tricks. Take it to heart.

    1. My previous post was an attack against an unelected bureaucracy that has complete control over the operations of a city without any accountability. If you had read it you would know that...

    2. But all of our local plans have it on the east side. General Plan, Rec trails master plan, etc.

It always was on the east side. Just because you put up a couple of signs to scare a council member, doesn't mean that you amend the plans.

Furthermore, the CCC certified all of these plans. They also approved a Public works plan, which locates the trail on the east side. Their action this week was consistent with everything that they have been doing all along. If anything, the CCC staff should bill SANDAG and the City for waisting everyone's time.

SANDAG should now find a way to reimburse project funding and planning expenses that were spent on early design of the west alignment. They were never authorized to absorb that money away from the east alignment. Now watch, we will get a half-way completed trail on the east side and everyone loses. No full connections, as promised.

6 million dollars and you spend 1 million, you are left with 5 million. What a waste. Everyone loses.

Where is the Encinitas tax payers association when you need them? What about SANDAG oversight committee?

My bet is that Encinitas will have to pay the balance to complete this project. And the current, sitting Council is going to have to do it.

    3. This is not news... As an example, look at every Rincon project west of 101. Tear-down and build to the maximum - ignore neighbors' concerns and refer to Rmax zoning. It is a simple equation and one that the Encinitas Planning craplot is bank to approve. A good first step would be for Encinitas to acknowledge that these commercial builders have no place on the coast. This is a premium, super sweet, unique place. If people want to live here - great - but make them build something that adds to the neighborhood - the cookie cutter barf from builders like Rincon does nothing positive.
