Link need to be fixed. Points to 10C, not 10B. If they are going to make a "Lifeguard Palace" style intersection upgrade, I'd rather they tackle Vulcan and Leucadia blvd.
You just have to actually read the agenda. It's Item 10B, the CMLS. This study report is big, has a lot of pretty pictures, and will sit on the shelf with all the other costly studies collecting dust.
7am - Got it thanks. Geeze agenda is packed and then at the end is the City Managers raise Haaaa! Classic.
The City has all year to address all these projects and nothing moves. Then the last meeting, right when everyone is preparing for Christmas and leaving town to visit family the City slams all kinds of long awaited items on the agenda plus the City Managers raise.
Classic lack of planning and typical shenanigans. Some old dogs never change - Figures!!
Part of the problem with tonight's agenda is the City didn't give enough notice on a couple of items that were scheduled earlier in the month. So, they put it on tonight's agenda. One is the Hymettus appeal, which could take a while. Again, poor planning on staff. Also, they have put the CMLS item at 3:30 today, only noticing it today, so it will be interesting to see how many people can make it that early.
It is actually excellent planning since the Planning Department schedules based on how to reduce public participation. They need to fire the lot and start over!
Yuck. Failure all around. This looks dreadful. Notice of discussion - dreadful.
Raise for CM? The City is mired in lawsuits and there is more complaining going on at city hall now, more so than previous administrations. Bad decisions at city hall, including mistakes in reports, mistakes in strategies, failed noticing, etc. Not just here but in other recent placed like the HEU subcommittee. Half of the staff has left or is trying to leave. Why would anyone give her a raise?
I think we all on the same page, so let's bring back Stocks and Vina! Some people will NEVER be satisfied and just want to continue to complain. If you think I'm talking about you, your probably right!
Why is this necessary? Could they be money laundering with all these overpriced unnecessary projects? Or is it just to annoy the crap out of and demoralize everyone?

Thanks. Fixed.
DeletePut the money into something that's really needed. Trench the tracks.
ReplyDeleteI agree with both comments above. Again, staff has their head up their butt and has no common sense.
ReplyDeleteLooks totally OC to me.
I dont see this item on the agenda. where is the public notice on these items? Did City staff screw up again?

She should stick around and fire more people in Planning and Engineering. Manjeet and Massie were only the tip of the iceberg.
DeleteIf you want to know why residents hate government, start with a look at these two departments.
Harrumph, harrumph, harrumph.

City Manager went from a D- to an F at best....
ReplyDeleteComplete failure in leadership. Sigh....
There is NO leadership!! The council hired them/her. Fire the council. Idiots.
ReplyDeleteNothing gets done but plenty of pointing fingers at other staff.... what a great manager....
ReplyDeleteTrue and What little is done is F’d up 90% of the time.

ReplyDeleteYet they continue to ignore the huge disaster known as N. Coast Hwy101/ Leucadia Boulevard Intersection. Great Planning (Sigh).
ReplyDeleteStaff competence is seriously lacking.
