Sheriff’s homicide investigators were called to the scene of a suspicious death Monday night, Dec. 21, on a street near beachfront homes in Encinitas, a lieutenant said.
Just after 10:30 p.m., two people found an injured person “face down and covered in blood” near Neptune Avenue and Sylvia Street, San Diego sheriff’s Lt. William Amavisca said.
Deputies responded and were investigating the “suspicious incident,” according to Amavisca, who said the sheriff’s homicide unit was called to the scene around 11:45 p.m.

Word on the street is that the Sheriff is seeking Jeff Morris for questioning or may have already questioned him. It seemed clear it was only a matter of time before he killed someone.

This event on Neptune is sad and concerning. On Nextdoor it is described as a suicide, but who does that when walking their dog? I know... the last thing this world needs is another conspiracy theory but when cycling the 101 near Carlsbad Campgrounds at around 2 pm this afternoon, I passed a mumbling, I guess, homeless guy, who was carrying a long cane with a silver crown or skull head.... visions of A Clockwork Orange came to mind. The usual suspects, but the cane was odd... unless he was simply putting on the Ritz.
