The commotion appears to be at or near 1507 Rancho Encinitas, which has multiple online business listings including "Aae Retreat" drug rehab and senior care assisted living.

Multiple agencies are executing a search warrant at what one officer called a "drug house" in an affluent Encinitas neighborhood near the coast.And this:
The officers arrived shortly before 9 a.m. [wrong, obviously] on Rancho Encinitas Drive where residents had deployed a non-lethal chemical agent after hearing the officers outside the house. Several people were handcuffed and escorted out of the house later.
Nick Backouris, with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department, said officials had received multiple complaints about the 4,000 sq. ft. home over the past several years and the home has been a headache for the community. He had said at a brief press conference earlier that they had a warrant for some drug and some gang activity.
Homeowner Anastasia, one of the arrested, was charged with furnishing a home under the use of narcotics.There's actually a law against that? They caught her bringing in a La-Z-Boy and throw rug while high?

ReplyDeleteHa! The helicopter started circling before sunrise - damn thing woke us up! There was a brief moment when sirens were blaring in place. I did see the smoke. Someone was using a bullhorn, but I couldn't make out what they were saying. My wife saw the SWAT team leave around 8:30.

DeleteOkay, so, a quick Google of Ms. Kirkeby paints a picture of a life imploding, probably due to drugs. Lost a home to foreclosure in Escondido; sued Chase six times with nonsense claims that were thrown out of court; according to the above post, lost control of a business; arrested recently for being on drugs in Walmart with a concealed weapon; and now a SWAT raid, found hiding with drugs, other criminals, and a weapon.

ReplyDeleteHello all. The person writing in CAPS is correct on all counts. I used to work at AA&E and discovered all the dirty secrets. Anastasia was forced into a whole bunch of nasty things by Larry in exchange for keeping her and her husband out of jail. He practiced as a lawyer way back. He even made Ana pose as his wife and come have sex with him whenever he wanted. Ana is a longterm victim and the whole business is a seething mess. I will not deny that the doctors and staff are caring professionals who have helped a lot of people, but Larry is a dangerous, well connected man who has no qualms about threats, blackmail, coercion...even against clients/patients.

All those things are actually true about Larry burns he ruines my life and my mothers. My mom hasnt made the best descion but im pretty sure you would all loose your mind if one day your living a happy healthy life.. with three kids .. and then BAM,yoir youngest son falls into a coma unresponsive days before my moms birthday.... who was being watched by larry who isnt my father, but was the father to my baby brother. I was a witness to when my mom went out and me , my sister, and brother were at our house in palm springs everything was fine he was happy ans healthy then one minute hes non resposive hardly breathing, he.was an 18 month old baby named alexander.my sister and I were very young i was in 3rd and she was in 4th.... at that age even i knew to call 911 but nope larry didnt until my mother came back home which was 45 minutes and she immediately called 911. From there they took gim to the hospital next to our house in palm springs ... they had no idea what was going on besides that they couldnt help him. So from there they life flighted him to another hospital two hours away. There was the last time I saw my brother in a coma, on life support. The plug was pulled on her birthday and larry tool him ans creamated him without my moms permission and then flew to Germany while my mom was losing it in a mental place.so why didnt larry call 911 right away? Why did he not ask my mom permisson to cremate and why did he flee to germany. Till this day he stole the rehab my mother owned and built and worked hard . It was her money not is.
ReplyDeleteI know this is an old post, however, I feel the need to speak my opionion. I worked there as well, years ago when it was a new facility. I knew you and your sister and now all about what happened with your brother. That took a LOT from your mother. She is a wonderful lady and Larry manipulated and threatened her. He is a misogynistic pig. The people that throw these negative comments out do not have any idea of how that man works. Not saying that your mom didn't make her own choices, because we all do, but the choices she made were to keep you girls safe! That was the only way she could by doing what he required of her and that was not fair to her at all. That man has evaded the law, gotten off on things that he shouldn't have and should be behind bars for the rest of his life! I hope that you have a wonderful relationship with your mother and have been able to help her through the rough times. Your father, Glenn, is also an amazing and wonderful man. DeleteTo give it some credit I worked for Larry in the beginning of 2014. I was a case manager for the treatment center. It didn't take me long to realize the man is a crook plain and simple. NO empathy for anyone, just himself. He is a thief, and a con artist. There aren't enough words to describe someone like him.
DeleteBurns operated AA&E under corporation nam American Stitch, a sewing "business" by Kirkeby. Extremely Difficult to flesh out corporate identify and corp Governance. Obviously a strategy to confuse possible identification to the court, in case of litigation.
ReplyDeleteBurns' AA&E unprocessed a woman from Texas who was making suicide attempts. At the Escondido house she stabbed herself through the neck with a kitchen knife, while she locked herself in a bathroom.
The woman was reported to have plunged the knife through the side of her neck, making her a quadraplegic.
The entire staff was brought to litigation and everyone's Professional Insurance was cited and demanded to compensate damages.
Some of the professionals dinged were not on site during the suicide attempt and advised Burns to not intake this individual, yet those therapists were still cited as failing professional responseability.
It's unknown where Larry Burns of AA&E is today. Who operates the Crosby Center?
