    2. That's WHY in Austraillia they are referred to as 'widow-makers', cuz they tip so easily. Timberrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

Apparently several council people are objecting to putting a crosswalk at the most safe area/point for the public across from the YMCA, because it 'might' be necessary to remove a eucalyptus.

Read your local history, Col. Hodges imported the Eucs to turn into railroad ties, before anyone tested them. They are NOT indigenous.

This news just in council members, tree are NOT people.

Wait til the voters get a look at the new tree ordinances the council committee has concocted. Timberrrrrrrrrr!!!

    3. Gee, really, eucs are not native? What an insight! Definitely news for all us ignorant rubes here in town. Maybe you can provide other great pieces of information to educate those of us who know nothing about the area we live in.

  6. One reason the Eucalyptus failed, is the artificial irrigation (drip lines) that the parks dept. has set up for the shrubs along the median.
I personally asked the streets dept, "why are you watering the Eucalyptus that way"?
They replied, " it is the parks dept so that not our issue.
Anyway, the excess irrigation has created root rot on that tree. I have photos of the whole thing! Nothing has been changed even though I call the city all the time! More trees will fail because of this simple ignorance.
I wish I had more time for this blog stuff.
