Measuring is hard

Union-Tribune:
Bracero 3 is an enclave of three lovely homes on oversized lots, less than a mile from the beaches of Encinitas.
Less than a mile? Really?

  1. Just what we need - more huge luxury $2m homes to further gentrify Encinitas. Within easy walking distance of the now-closed head shop.

  2. What, you're just now learning that real estate marketing stretches the truth? Where have you been? Did they say you'd have an ocean view along with the oversized lot? Ha, ha.

  3. Yes but it's all downhill from the homes to the beach....it's an easy mile.

  4. "Look at those oversized lots, are they small lots? If they're small, something else must be small. I guarantee you there's no problem. I guarantee."

  5. Well, there is an item on the upcoming election that asks us to trust developers and the Planning Department. Vote No, HELL NO on "At Home Encinitas," which is their cute branding for screwing Encinitas residents out of our property rights. Vote NO unless you want developers calling the shots.

  6. Maybe "The Beaches of Encomitas" is a density bonus project?

  7. "At home Encinitas"? Up yours Encinitas must have been taken.

    1. I agree that Up Yours Encinitas is actually a name for what it is!! Some on the site have dubbed it the $4 million dollar gold-plated turd, which also captures the fact that it has failed over and over and the Planning staff who have worked on it for years and years keep spending more and collecting their paychecks. They should have asked us instead of paying hundreds of thousands to their branding experts and other consultants! But then again, they get to spend our money and we get to pay for their mistakes.

  8. 3:49pm Thanks for the accurate descriptive name for this sham of a plan that our city is trying to sell us.

'Up Yours Encinitas' is spot on. May it forever be called so, from here on, until it is voted down. We have a creative populace out there that can see through this urbanization disaster scheme in the making and won't be buying the liars lies.

Monday signals the opening of the declaration period for potential candidates to step up. Hope springs eternal that we will have a plurality of candidates to establish a new majority on the council this political season.

Hey, Council and Planning Dept., Up Yours.

Hey, citizens of Encinitas, don't buy into what the city is selling and join the growing chorus of Up Yours Encinitas.

  9. Vote NO, and it is a vote to hold the line. A yes vote means accelerated densification, MORE traffic, MORE noise, LESS parking and MORE consultants.

Our Acting Planning Director Ranu spend 10's of thousands of dollars to publish their plan with the wrong maps attached. Now the City Council will not get a break this year since they have to meet this week and next week to address his bad work.

Does Ranu actually know what the vote is about? Not only do our City directors look like morons, but they make the Council look idiotic. Will the Council thank him for his work at the next two meetings? He is obviously saying "Up yours," to everyone including Council!

  10. Not to worry as Muir will be on his $20,000 vacation in Europe. He just had to announce that at the last meeting. I wonder if he has to buy extra seats on the plane.

    1. If Muir booked the flight to Europe and had made plans for the three-week vacation, why should he change them when Ranu screwed up....again??? Fire Ranu!
