  5. Hang on...please,
Is this winters guy affiliated with Rincon? The snail-paced builder next to O Hurley's , a little Moore?
Rincon has been ringing door bells asking owners to sell so they can cram crap housing into lots. R11+ garbage.
There is a pending w Jason st. Project.
If sleaze ball madoff guy is involved please jump in.thx.

  6. Blakespear's claws and turncoat personality prevails. She wants to approve the project. So much for preserving our paradise. Shaffer seconds the motion. Muir is asking his lame ass questions. Jump in Kranz, with you lame ass questions. Nothing has changed. The four are in the developer's pockets.

  7. And there were complaints about Gaspar being in the developers pockets. :)

  8. It's so refreshing to see the council working together. GASpar seems to invite contention and as far as I'm concerned, she can miss the rest of the meetings. She has been a horrible mayor. Catherine has class.

    1. It is a shoehorn maxed out development to maximize the developer profit. It is an ugly building. The Council didn't care what effects the project would have on the community. The building could have been downsized. Money, money is Blakespear's manta.

    3. 8:33 - to the east of me is a lovely single family home, built in 1998. It has a beautiful 17,000 Sq ft lot planted with flowering and fruit trees. Rincon saw the lot, approached the owner, and now our single family neighbor is soon to be approved as a 4 home - each
larger than the single family home
project. This is not preserving paradise.. this is maximizing r11 footage without regard for the neighborhood. Track housing...cookie cutter garbage.

  12. Blame the Planning Commission who approved the project. The people who opposed the project don't want anything near them.

    ReplyDelete

Blame the neighbors? Of course the neighbors didn't know the city and developers were going to screw them. The belief is that the Council would listen.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. The neighbors had reasonable requests; from what I read, they wanted to modify alley access/egress and change/add a stop sign there. Council could have approved the project with some requested modifications.

Kristin Gaspar did allow public speakers to go over their time limits a bit, to "sum it up." Shaffer sounds like Barth, before her, and Stocks, before that, cutting people off, rudely, while Council has no time limits. Shaffer is one of the longest winded. I wish KG had appointed Muir as Deputy Mayor; I don't think he would be so rude to public speakers, those who take the time and make the effort to attend, personally, and to share their informed viewpoints.

  14. Shaffer chairing the meeting is like Stocks chairing the meeting.

    1. She cuts people off at exactly the allotted time, wants speakers to consolidate comments and wants the audience not to applaud because she really doesn't give a shit what residents say or think. She just wants to impose her will.

Be grateful she'll soon be gone, but Tasha sounds like the reincarnation of Shaffer as a council member.

    6. Shaffer was reveling in her exercise of power and control. Of course, she was resentful about the defeat of Measure T and taking it out on the residents. This is nothing new. She is always unhappy when she doesn't get her way. Will her legacy be banning plastic bags and polystyrene? One is now state wide and the other will soon be.

    7. Wait a minute. Are you saying she actually expected people to make their points in the two minutes that everyone knows they have, because it's written on the speaker slip and it's on the giant red countdown clock in front of the speaker?

A misdemeanor of $1000 fine and 6 months in jail? How will this ban be enforced? If the deputy stops a car and sees a Styrofoam container in the car does the driver goes immediately to jail or just a ticket?

    1. Styrofoam doesn't keep food hot anyway. It keeps it just warm and moist enough to maximize bacterial growth.

  33. 7:09. News for you, there are no protestors.

CNN committed fraud on citizens by rigging the debate.
The NY TIMES committed fraud on citizens giving Clinoon editorial oversight of articles and misrepresenting Clinton propaganda as "unbiased news"

Politico, Abc, Cnn, Nbc, CBS all met with Clinton for a private dinner before announcing her campaign to discuss "messaging".

The Democratic party was caught in video tape using organized paid agititutors to incite violence and manufacture news.

The media working with the DNC ran the organized manufactured propaganda as "unbiased news" misleading citizens.

Released emails show media personalities and the Clinton campaign wanted " to create an uninformed and compliant citizenry".

There are no protestors. There are criminals, rioters, paid agitators that have beat white people supporting Trump in vicious hate crimes posted online. There are criminals looting and burning private property , intimidating citizens and threatening unsuspecting neighborhoods.

More than 110 million people voted, there are maybe 3,000 agitators , criminals and rioters.

The same media that lied, misled and misinformed citizens during the election, are misleading citizens now.

8 years ago America elected a politican who came from a broken home, and had no private sector experience and had spent a life in politics.

8 years later America elected the complete opposite, a career business man with no government experience.

This is what makes america great. This is what we should celebrate, cherish. Every 4 years the citizens have a peaceful voice.

What we should not celebrate or tolerate is dishonest journalism seeking to mislead and manufacture fear.

Good news today the TPP trade deal opposed by Trump, Stein and Sanders is dead. TPP was supported by Obama, Clinton, Ryan, Cruz, Rubio, Bush, Soros and the Koch brothers. Thanks to the election, it is dead.

yesterday Canada and Mexico said they were open to renegotiating NAFTA.

The infotainment personalies that were exposed for rigging debates, colluding with the Clinton Campqign and working with groups using paid agitators to manufacture propaganda are now reporting Hillary had more votes.

These are the same elite media personalities who misled citizens saying a Trump victory was impossible.

These infotainment personalities do not inform viewers that Candidate Trump was the candidate of choice in far more state elections than their candidate Clinton.

The infotainment media won'the report that candidate Trump won far more electoral college votes than their candidate Clinton.

How many of you reading this know how many electoral votes candidate Trump got? If you don't know it is worth asking why don't you know? The election ended 3 days ago.

Who would trust corporate elite media that has lied before?

Great day for amercian families. Jill Stein, Bernie Sanders and Donald Trump all opposed the TransPacific Trade Partnership (TPP) because it would harm American workers and families.

Candidate Clinton called TPP the gold standard. TPP was backed by Soros and the Koch brothers, as well as globalist bankers and wall Street. Bush, Clinton, Romney, Pelosi, Ryan, Reid all supported TPP.

Today it is dead. 5 years in the making by insiders and cronies looking to exploit American workers by passing TPP, today TPP is is dead.

    2. When residents in Encinitas objected to density bonus development on the grounds of violating community character, they were right.
A law firm (Goldfarb Lipman) has this information:
      "KALNEL GARDENS
      BACKGROUND AND HOLDING
In Kalnel Gardens, a developer applied to the
City of Los Angeles to construct a 15-unit
housing project in Venice on a site within the
coastal zone. The project included two units
      for very-low-income households, which,
pursuant to the Density Bonus Act, entitled it
to more units, greater height, and smaller
setbacks than would otherwise be permitted on
the project site under local regulations. The
City denied the developer's application on the
grounds that the project's height, mass, and
scale were harmful to the surrounding
      neighborhood, and therefore violated the
      visual and scenic compatibility requirements
of the City's local coastal program and the
      Coastal Act."

The density bonus ordinance passed by the council and the two lawsuits settled by the council are illegal.

The rot inside will have its day with him and his followers. That they claim to be christians while spouting their arrogant ignorant hate, only reaffirms the fact that their hypocrisy knows no limits.

He can revel is the support of his followers and spread his hate wherever he wants and is allowed. I can only wish he would go elsewhere. It was made to be inclusive for many belief systems. In Rogers sick existence, there is no room for any belief but his own. We are so much better that I suppose his jealousy has to show in whatever form he has at hand.

What a sad, sad life that he is unable to accept others beliefs as equal to his own.

Accepting others, without feeling the need to change them, is the higher calling of evolution.

Take the blinders off and have a rewarding life without persecuting others who feel differently, Thomas Roger Ogden.

  49. This morning President Elect Trump has 308 Electoral Votes.

Soundly defeating candidate Clinton, the Bush Cartel that opposed him, Soros and Koch Brothers, and a corrupt media that rigged debates.

The citizens of the sovereign states that make up the United States exercised their rights and voted for President Elect Trump

The citizens of each sovereign state held statewide elections allowing state citizens to participate in both State and Federal elections- two different elections.

This morning the corrupt media that conspired to throw the election by rigging debates to benefit one continues to lie, mislead, and incite hate, racial strife and bullying.

The liars and opponents of freedom have been exposed.

American's rejected the politics of hate, racism, bullying, classism, sexism that the crooked media and many elected leaders have forced on citizens.

CNN Donna Brazil gave Clinton the debate questions before the debate, CNN then presented the rigged debate to 33 million American's.

Van Jones works for CNN, Van Jones is a racist, a bigot and traffics in hate. President Elect Trump secured the votes of blacks. While Hillary Clinton was using black millionaire JAY Z in hopes of gaining votes , Trump was meeting with black church leaders in Detroit and Flint- that is why he won Michigan- because he cared.

Wasserman Shultz colluded with the media to defraud Bernie Sanders voters and rig the primaries- it is why she was fired as head of the DNC- at the convention.

Yes, the media is crooked. They lied to citizens to benefit one political party. They are self-seeking propagandist.

You have offered no information to rebut the post of 10:00 pm.

Name calling is bullying, and intolerant.

If you believe CNN and Donna Brazile did not commit fraud by rigging the debate, and then presenting the rigged debate to 33 million American viewers as "honest", please post your facts.

If you believe Van Jones, who ignored the fact that the Trump campaign increased votes in the black community, and who said the only reason Trump won was "white-lash", a racist derogatory term directed to people of a certain color- explain why?

If you believe Debbie Wasserman Shutlz, head of the Democrat Party who was caught colluding with the media to rig the primary and defraud Bernie Sanders voters, and who was fired from her job, is honest- and not crooked, explain why?

Opponents of freedom throughout history have relied on a crooked press to misinform and mislead the citizens.

    Presenting rigged debates is fraud.
Presenting articles written by the candidates PR team, and telling the public it is "news" is misinformation.
Using race, class and gender to incite hate while ignoring facts that prove otherwise is misleading.

Name calling is simply another tool used by those who prefer to ignore the truth.

The media is about hate, intolerance, bullying and lies.

Case in point- people burning stores, looting, dragging white people from cars and beating them based on their skin color and politics are not protestors- they are criminals, and include hate crimes.

The same media that lied during the past 24 months continues to lie now.

  52. 30 years ago, a young Tomas R. Ogden of San Diego showed such promise.

He even got a patent for creating a tough aluminum coating that was effective at conducting heat. Of course, he didn't own the patent. His employer, the US Navy did.

Sadly, the patent turned out to be worthless, and Uncle Sam let it lapse by not paying a small maintenance fee just four years later. Young Thomas R. Ogden must have been disappointed. He never invented anything again.

Perhaps this offers a window into his profound sadness, anger, and impotence.
