The Kook, while wishing a happy birthday to Carla, is firmly in the No on T camp.

  2. The Kook is smarter than the entire city council combined!

  3. Gaspar refused to debate the Kook - she was intimidated by him.

    1. What's your definition of "stupid"?

  7. Stupid, is our reps not choosing to defend their own constituents. Time will tell for all of them.

  8. I recently got a Kranz mailer that showed an image of a future Pacific View school site that was not included in the $10 million dollar (plus interest) price. Kranz is taking credit for a venue that does not exist and has yet to be renovated. Where will the money come from to make this happen?

The deal that Tony and the others struck is that in about 7.5 years, they will be able to develop this property or sell it. That is not "protection." Since they overpaid for the property and have no budget to fix it up, I predict that it will be sold off since that condition was put into the agreement and Teresa Barth was actually quite proud that she had included that provision.

Kranz has never been authentic from his Photo Shopped dog picture in his first mailer to his dishonesty and abuse towards his former supporters. I will never vote for him again and urge others to do the same.

    1. Kranz was approached early on by Doug Manchester and other "prominent" entrepreneurs who informed him the benefits of playing the city council game "right". Basically, he sold out fast.

    2. What does Doug Manchester have to do with Encinitas politics?

    3. 6:39 PM Regional and local investments.

    4. 5:11 probably means Doug Harwood, not Doug Manchester.

    5. No, Manchester. Papa Doug threw a party shortly after the last election and Tony was proud to attend.

Even Shaffer knew better thsn to accept the invitation.

    6. And Kranz initially lied about attending Doug Manchester's party. He had to fess up because certain people knew the truth. It wasn't the first time Kranz had been dishonest.

  9. Mayor of Dallas Texas says police and firefighters pension fund is only 45% funded. Will need to double property taxes to stay solvent. Meanwhile city of Houston in worse financial shape than Detroit.
    Hello??
City of Encinitas can you smell the stench of outrageous salaries and pensions?? Take a deep breath and you can smell bankruptcy!! ( sniff sniff).

    1. $40 million in underfunded pensions - maybe more now, as that was an old figure. Meanwhile, administrative employees continue to line up waiting for their $200K+ pensions..... Yes, financial catastrophe is in the air.

  10. Vote Muir - the pro-pension candidate. He'll assure that all pension reform agendas are stymied and side-tracked. Keep promoting those fire fighters to spike their pensions!

    1. In his campaign mailers, he said he promoted pension reform!! In what parallel universe does he do this?? He is falsifying his position in order to sway voters that don't know his style - a do nothing shill for the $tock$ gang.

  11. Is Pacific View part of the properties that could be used for help Measure T? Since it will most likely not be up and running as an artists colony in 7 years, might as well sell it and make more than we paid for it.

  13. 9:42 at a national level we thankfully have a choice of two different candidates.

Candidate Trump wants to enforce existing immigration laws to protect Encinitas families. Candidate Clinton wants open borders to protect non-citizens.

Candidate Trump wants to slow down H1B Visa's to protect American families and workers. Candidate Clinton wants to increase H1B visa's to benefit bankers and non-citizens.

Candidate Trump wants to increase vetting of immigration from Islamic Jiahdi nations to protect American families. Candidate Clinton wants to increase immigration from Islamic Jiahdi nations by 500% that protects Islamic Jihadi's.

Candidate Trump opposes TPP and bad globalist trade deals to protect American families, Candidate Clinton supports TPP to protect globalist bankers.

Sadly, at the local level there is little difference between the candidates. Only Brandberg supports residents on measure T.

I saw a Blakespear sign saying "Preserve" Encinitas- Blakespear lies, she has supported upzoning, increased density and destruction of community character at all levels. Likewise the Gaspar clan is supported by developers who want the same thing as Blakespear .

Drain the swamp, vote those who represent themselves and their cronies out of office- at all levels.
