Joe Mosca made the motion that the Youth Commission become involved in writing an ordinance on vaping. Blakespear especially liked that assignment for them. The vote was yes 5-0.
has anyone in Encinitas died from vaping? between this and opioids why are we joining these fights? is it easier and less visible than dealing with our real issues?
I don't think anybody has died from vaping in Encinitas, but vaping is rampant at our middle schools and high schools. Gateway to smoking and drug use (kids are vaping pot at school too) - so it is a real issue here.
5:12 how do dispensaries play into this? Would they supply vaping products to recreational users? Assume they'd have to be of legal age, but when did that ever stop a kid from access to buying booze?

Buyers Beware!
Kranz wants to take a legislative position against fracking. He thinks it's going to save him in 2020.
ReplyDeleteHe would be better served by not approving ordinances that take our property for bike lanes. Vote out Kranz now.
DeleteFracking?! What esoteric agenda is next for him - save the Martian landscape from Rover tire tracks?
DeleteWell, he is a Trekie!
DeleteCatherine had darker hair and sparkly bits in it so one wonders did she gussy up for the crowd or for someone else?
ReplyDeleteShe also started the meeting VERY bubbly and practically floating. Could it just be a little happy juice.
DeleteYes. And ended it leaning on one elbow. Could have been the happy juice wearing off.
DeleteHer lawyer buddy in the audience?

ReplyDeleteI'm shocked.
DeleteWhat was up with the decision to take property if people applied for a remodel/rebuild to create a bike path?????
In the early 40's it was Hitlers Youth Group, now
Delete"the Mosca youth commission". What could possible go wrong?

Deletefair enough. I do see kids a lot with those things just walking around downtown. it's a gateway plus the additives seem to be a huge danger.

ReplyDeleteWhat happened to Lou’s post claiming Blakespear was ghost writing news articles for Aaron Burgin?
ReplyDeleteWelcome back Kevin Cummins. You have been missed.
ReplyDeleteThe city will vote on a proposal to allow a parking lot for the homeless living in their cars on Saxony Rd. Locals are not enthralled by the prospect.
ReplyDeleteProperty is zoned AG . How can the City do this without a vote?
ReplyDeleteThey did it in 2013-14 when they voted that agricultural zoning could include non-agricultural general office use.
