Blakespear road obstacle injuries: they're not just for bicyclists anymore!

Facebook:
#14. medical emergency 1035am 6/9/2020. Reported by Elaine Miller: "guy on an electric unicycle [one wheel skate board] hit one of the barriers, crashed and husband called 911 who said if he didn’t have to go to the hospital they wouldn’t do anything. A Sherrif gave the guy a ride to the house place he was staying. He was shamed up and bloody"

  1. With the electrical bikes and motorized skateboards, it will only get worse.

  2. I'll bet the skateboarder fell harder than he should have, and the so-called "skateboard" is probably a scanner designed to disrupt police communications.

  3. What are the names of the people who have crashed?

Can anyone point me to a single first-hand account?

    1. "Only" four accidents reported to the sheriff, may be five with this one. Blakespear careful to characterize the accidents as "x number reported" meaning those the sheriff logged. 14 or 15 to date as of this one with actual names for each. Go to the "Encinitas: Please Restore Safe Cycling In Cardiff" Facebook page for a complete list.

There you will find at least 10 first-hand accounts, with names.

    2. Nope. I’ve read it. Lots of—“I saw someone”

No names. No police report. Just a story that could have been made up posted on a page moderated by a guy who is not objective or credible.

    3. 4:09 City engineer said 4 incidents reported to sheriff, this one would be 5, and I don't believe it includes the wife who posted her husband's helmet and said he broke his collarbone, as she said he was helped home by others.

    4. Okay. Now we’re getting somewhere. Maybe six incidents? Which is less than half of the made up social media fake outrage machine.

The sad thing is, six real incidents is serious, and worth addressing with careful changes to the design.

It’s sad that people lose credibility when they have a real issue, and don’t need to make stuff up.

  4. Anyone know what the app in in the screen capture above?

I’d like to download it and see how difficult it is to post a fake incident report.

    I bet it’s pretty easy.

    1. City just piling up the reasons why Blakespear's liability lanes are an "improvement" - her word, not mine.

    2. The app is PulsePoint, the data comes directly directly from the Encinitas Fire Department, and the codes are the vehicles that are dispatched. Have making your fake police reports.

    3. That’s great news. We have a reliable data source.

Now, how many incidents have been in PulsePoint, vs social media bullshit with zero credibility and no names?

Unfortunately, PulsePoint won’t let me see anything beyond the last 24 hours.

Serge, you say there are 15 victims.

      Name them.

  5. I can't imagine how someone on an electric unicycle/one-wheeled skateboard could lose their balance and crash.

  6. I was just at Seaside Market, and I saw a horrible crash. A young man in his 20s tripped on a crack in the payment, and skinned his knee. I think it's going to require at least two band-aids. It's high time we threw out that pavement crack loving Blakespear!

  7. Attention Citizens!

Fun and wonderful screaming karens have been spotted at enc votes claiming the virus is spiking in encinitas.

    74 cases !

    Oh my silly stars.

Do the karens know the recovery multiplier is approx 80%?

    Oopsy.

Some folks have been watching too much CNN bwahahahaha

  8. The barriers are fixed in place. They are visible. If you hit one, you are at fault. And what is up with going to the police and filing a report for an accident that was your own fault? Seems like a waste of police resources. I hope the cops toss the reports in the garbage can.

    1. Dude they're not calling 911 to file a criminal report, they're calling for an ambulance.

  9. The barriers are the same color as the asphalt. Maybe if they colored with a contrasting color more people would see them. The orange cones in the picture help but those won't stay around. Perhaps color them neon pink in honor of our mayor.

  10. Can somebody post this at enc votes...

Apparently the karens are now telling people not only has the virus spiked hard in encinitas but it is most certainly due to the swamis freedom rally that took place mid April.

Serious question (asking for a friend):
Do these people really believe their own lies or are they just day drinkers and drug addled?

  12. Blakespear is huge part of the problem and its embarrassing she is leading this City and responsible for picking the next City Manager.

  13. EG has posted the weirdest post to date. Many of the issues listed have been made worse by Blakespear. I'm not sure of their point but Blakespear is definitely bad for the quality of life in Encinitas unless you live on her block, then you are OK. Her Mom will make sure she looks after her mommy's dearest property interests.

    1. especially to the blind Blakespear supporters who support selling out Encinitas to the homeless, developers and the leftist elite.

      Watch the movie The Hunt.

Is that Blakespear wishes for you "deplorables"?

  16. One wheel kook goes down? At least these new road hazards are good for something.

  17. What's your favorite part about the mayor?

Mine is the way she doesn't listen to experts on bike lane improvements and people using the roadway and put in hazards in the roadway that maim Encinitas families and get the City sued. What's yours?!

    2. My favorite part is how her mom sues the school and fucks taxpayers out of millions of dollars and she pretends the situation doesn't exist.

I do appreciate her aggression towards the bike gangs too, though.
