No cars means no budget. Period. ReplyDeleteI heard it was once affectionately called Cardiff by the slough. A live peacock used to always be seen daily on the roof of a Realty office where now the Jack in the Box is. A sturdy treehouse was in Rossini Creek. When someone told my dad there was a "sulferization" place at one end of downtown, he thought that must be what makes the moldy swamp smell at Cottonwood Creek. He later heard someone was talking about Self Realization at the other end of town. But one of my cooler memories is when my older sister lived over George's in an apartment on the beach with her husband for $65 a month.

The birth certificate Obama finally came up with and the birth announcement in the Honolulu newspaper were faked. Everybody knows that. It's obvious.

I for one cannot be critical of race theory. There's a theory that we have races every summer in Del Mar. Then next November there's a theory we'll have races for mayor and a council seat. But who would want to sit in those seats? They're black, non-porous and sweaty. I bet if you leaned back too far, you'd tip over. And they swivel. You could get dizzy and throw up. Then you have to deal with all those buttons and the little screen that malfunctions all the time. Geez, what a pain! It would probably be cool though to sit high up on a shelf above everybody else in the room so you could look down on them like the peons they are. But those long meetings are so boring, especially if you have to pay attention all the way through. Imagine how hard it must be knowing you're making about $1,200 a month when all the goons on the staff who are supposed to be taking directions from you are making $100 to $200K, have great benefits and pensions that make golden parachutes look like leaking birthday balloons. So, no, I'm not critical of race theory. All the world's a race. Shakespeare or somebody said so.

ReplyDeleteCouncil members are paid from $23,000 to $35,000 dollars a year depending on outside boards compensation. The staff salaries were approved by previous and current councils. This council can eliminate positions and set lower director salaries. The council choses not to do it.
11:24 Council members are paid $1,186 per month to be council members. Show the accounting that their required participation in related positions boosts their pay to $23-35,000 per year.
DeleteIf that's true, at its max it's way less that a third of the pay of the department managers who are supposed to be taking direction from them. And that's not counting benefits and pensions. Vina's base salary is $216,300 per year.
