So did City Council elect to fund the $2 million dollar Beacon Beach Access Project?
I would think access to a local favorite beach would be far more important than a pretty Life Guard Marine Safety Home Land Security/ NASA/ NATO/ REDCROSS safety station. Oh thats right- Carlsbad does not have any permanent stations yet their coast line is just a safe as Encinitas.
But ACCESS should aways trump Trophy projects. Beacon Beach Access Improvements are imperatives. Next Big Long Slow rain will bring down the bluff.
Staff and Council need to wake up and quite building no essential Trophy projects.

El Nino is predicted for the next rainy season - burned slopes, no access to beaches - landslides!
