We'll have to wait until more surfaces on the story, ie were these ponga dudes who couldn't swim, or was it the rip current. Hard to know what happened if you weren't there to see it all go down.
And yes, we know a new lifeguard tower will not save lives, kind of a stretch to make that connection in my opinion. Good work by the kids either way...
There are only two open positions coming up this year, one for council and one for mayor. We all wish there were three so we could dump more of this bunch of blind mice being led by slimey. For the other three their time will come in two years rest assured. This sleeping tiger has awakened and the power will be in our communities hands before much longer. Hope springs eternal for we have truly dedicated citizens willing to give of their time and efforts to bring our city government in line with who they are supposed to represent.
Except they were never asleep. Gaspar has always had her bloc of Stocks/Bond/Mayer along with the Rotary folks and development crowd. The question in these elections is who gets the most people motivated on their team at the right time, or who can appeal to the independents.
Right now, it's too early to tell, wait until July when everyone declares...
So far, I have heard we have to new candidates running for City Council. Both get my vote at this point.
As far as Mayor, same goes: I would never vote for losers Gaspar or Kranz. Its time for them both to go because they are proven they can not lead this City and supported wasting 1.5 years on "Stragetic Planning" while ignoring all the other City Priorities. I hope we get a decent alternative candidate because they will be getting my vote as well.
Clever.

ReplyDeleteFrom our department of redundancies department. Let's get off the lifeguard tower, we get it, people think it's to expensive. I agree..
ReplyDeleteWell get off of it when the council decides its a bad idea and pulls the funding.
ReplyDeleteUntil then it will be a topic like the regional sports park... All over priced and all not needed.
This council won't, you might want to start on candidates for the 3 open spots...
DeleteWill do.
ReplyDeleteBoot all the incumbents. They suck!!!!

So far, 9: 20 you haven't shown your peers on this blog that you can tell a decent candidate from an indecent one. Look homeward, Angel.
