Attempted abduction reported at San Dieguito Academy

Union-Trib:
Two men tried to pull a 17-year-old girl into their pickup in Encinitas Thursday morning, but the school-bound teen was able to fight them off, a sheriff’s official said.

The girl was walking to San Dieguito High School Academy just before noon when the men in a white truck drove up next to her at the Melba and Nardo roads intersection, sheriff’s Capt. John Maryon said. The men tried to drag her inside, but she broke free and ran home.

  2. Didn't something exactly like this in almost the same place happen several years ago - except it was a green truck?

  3. In 2010, an SDA girl made up a story of being abducted near campus and raped by three Hispanic men to cover up that she had left campus to have sex with someone she "met" on-line.

  4. Best defense, ensure that your daughters are conservatively dressed. You could only imagine what a sex-starved man or ex-con sees when you have more than a hundred scantily clad young ladies walking to get lunch down Santa Fe Drive everyday-it's alarming to see these young women letting it all hang out at such a young age. What to do?

    2. Yes. Blame the women for dressing, not the men for raping.

You'd love it in Saudi or Yemen. They think the same way.

    3. Get those tents that the Arab women wear and tell the American girls that the Kardashians endorse them as high fashion!

  6. There was a similar incident on Saxony earlier this year, also happened in the afternoon. Same men? Who's going to want to walk and bike here when it's not even safe during the day?
