Where in Encinitas?

Patch has a running series called Where in Encinitas? where Anastacia Grenda takes a picture somewhere in Encinitas and readers try to figure out where it is.

It doesn't look like they have one this week, so I thought I'd fill in.

So, you think you know Encinitas? Name the location where this photo was taken.

  1. Well, it doesn't much look like Encinitas Ranch, does it?

  4. I think they posted that Where in Encinitas late, but you did a great job. I know who to call if I ever need anyone to fill in! (And the public is welcome to submit a photo for the Patch contest, fyi...)

What's the story with this lot anyway? Do you know who owns it?

    Anastacia

  5. The property appears to be owned by a UCSD professor of radiology who paid around $1.5 million for it during the bubble. He was apparently planning to develop it with a group called Kopion Group LLC.

  7. It used to be owned by an old man who ran a recycling business. This is as green as it gets. Rumor has it he shot a young man one time for making off with some of his good. There is still an old man living in the house. I don't know if its him and I don't feel like getting shot, so I'll just stay off his property.

Those homes have junk yard on one side. El Special Norte roof on the east. Ghetto Leucadia Speedway with 60 train blasts per day. And soon to be Section 8 housing kids stealing everything around them. Boy- I really want to live there. I predict the whole development will go back to the bank like so many others. Meaning you the tax payers will end up paying for this trashy overly dense development. They should have stuck with the regular zoning for that area. It was plenty dense. Both not as Dense as our City Planners, Council or Developers.
