Trial begins in the case of
former Encinitas triathlete Diana Lovejoy, who seems to have hired a hitman to kill her husband, and did an absolutely awful job of covering her tracks:
Former Marine and shooting instructor McDavid told Lovejoy he would have tactical advantage if the ambush could take place during a new moon (that is, no visible moon). Lovejoy then made an internet search to find the date of the next new moon, which was September 1, 2016. Her estranged husband Greg Mulvihill was shot that night.
The conspirators obtained “Pinger” numbers to aid their secret communications, according to the prosecutor.
Lovejoy selected a place she knew her husband was familiar with, the “Switchback Trails,” and she informed McDavid that her husband would agree to meet there for the alleged planned ambush.
Stupid is as stupid does:
Carlsbad police traced the call that lured Mulvihill to a burner phone bought in mid-August in Encinitas. They looked at the store’s surveillance video, and identified Lovejoy as the buyer.
Should the headline be:
ReplyDeletePsycho (attempted) killers
?
Qu'est-ce que c'est?
ReplyDeleteFa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-fa-far better
Run run run run run run run away oh oh!
And this has to do with Encinitas, how??
ReplyDeleteI'll repeat my previous posting which has been deleted.
ReplyDeleteWhat does this have to do with Encinitas??
It involves Encinitas through former Encinitas triathlete Diana Lovejoy
Delete8:46 Very little. It's W.C.'s obsession with crimes.
ReplyDeleteWC should be obsessed with the towns serial killer.... the train.
DeleteThe real reason WC covers this nonsense is because it's easy to copy and paste this crap and requires little to no input.
ReplyDeleteThe original WC got up before sunrise to photograph that stupid kook and some lame ass costume that yahoos had spent half the night putting up.
NWC ( new WC) stop being lazy and cover the news of this community. Pound the pavement and find the stories that mean something....
if you can do better start your own blog. Whiners. Geeze.
ReplyDeleteEncinitas sure has some cry babies. Sounds like the Crazy eyed ex Council woman who still dreams she is still relevant.
Sorry old hag. No one even cares about what you think.
8:01am. is slimy mikey a..ream crawling out of his hole in the ground in O'side to bring up a person he has a fascination with who does not ever post here.
ReplyDeleteNo mikey slimeball, it only sounds like her to you and no one else. Get a life. Grow up.
Your despicable disreputable reputation precedes you wherever you go. Talk about an old hag, that suits you more than anyone else.
Mikey needs to expand his territory and find a $tock$ or Meyer to pay his bills in Oceanside. Talk about irrelevant in Encinitas.
ReplyDeleteLast paying gig he had was helping Ga$par try to sell the HEU. Didn't go so well, Mikey - did you ever get paid for that one?
I remember seeing this guy at Iron Sights a few years back. Creepy that he is involved, and hard to believe that they thought they could get away with this.
ReplyDeleteThe New W.C. is a shill and his content designed to distract you from the real issues...if it isn't obvious to some sheeple.
ReplyDeleteNot working, troll...if it isn't obvious to you.
DeleteAnother conspiracy theory?
DeleteA conspiracy
DeleteTheory: EU is hijacked!
Simple, broken brain.
Just a troll. Some here such as DCM and certain city workers have made no effort to hide their disdain for the average resident. Folks like DCM pay for troll services, that's not news.
DeleteI was at city hall yesterday, the noise from the Halloween party was obvious. Partying on the taxpayers dime.... grow up people. Halloween is for children, at a certain age you grow up and become responsible or stay a child and get a govt job. Sickening...
DeleteCity doesn't get anything accomplished but has plenty of time to yuck it up all day.
ReplyDeleteThe City Manager has to go. She is completely scatterbrained and is a ineffective leader.
She is at will. The City Council need to cut her loose and hire someone that can get things done.
Good to hear Carlsbad checked camera footage. Sound like they have some real detectives now. In the wrongful prosecution of my sister in '95, one man subpoenaed around 20 phone bills for a La Costa murder investigation. The detective (RIP) not only neglected to get the three most important phone toll records in the case, he actually gave the phone company a false phone number and address for the all the calls made from the murder scene (leading to a stone wall). Incompetent at best and totally deliberate at worst. The failure to retrieve those records made sure no one would ever find out valuable leads for what was really going on at that infamous drug house. Neither did they subpoena my sister's personal phone records (!); nor the records from the house where they alleged her to be prior to the murder. I could (and do) go on and on, but they also lost the alleged recording of the 911 call. When the woman who supposedly made the call took the stand at trial, she "couldn't remember" where she had made that call from. Likewise, official transcripts give two seperate locations for the call. Typical? I'm all for getting the right person for any crime, and have not followed this Lovejoy case at all, but from what you've related it looks pretty iron clad.
