Teachers’ union loses control of high school board

 North Coast Current:

A new day is dawning for the San Dieguito Union High School District.

After nearly half a century of combined years of service, longtime SDUHSD trustees Joyce Dalessandro and Beth Hergesheimer retired, making room for fresh faces on the school board.

The two staunch supporters of the district’s teachers union chose not to seek re-election this year and threw their support behind two union-endorsed candidates, only one of whom won.

  1. What a relief. We all know that communist-style labor unions are focused on one thing, and it ain't your kids!

  2. Yeah. You’re right.

Pretty sure Jeff Morris won’t run for mayor.

    He’s all talk.

    1. 8:26 you're happy with this year's incumbent choices. Still waiting to hear who you want in 2022 when our mayor follows her ambitions to rise in the party: anger management issues Kranz, or "what the mayor said" Hinze? Come on, tell us your favorite. Let's get a pool going.

I'll go first. My money's on Hinze. She already said she was wondering what she should do for her next career. May as well be politics right.

  3. Why so many deleted comments? It's funny how republicans cry foul of twitter and facebook, and then run their own blogs like Joseph Goebbels.

    2. 11:47 - the guy who runs the blog is too chicken shit to eliminate anonymous comments, because he knows the right wing assholes that frequent this trash pile are too chicken shit to post their names.

    1. How dare you slander Charles Schultz's characters by comparing them to the trash that is this blog. And I say it again. How dare you.

  8. Besides, there’s not a chance in hell he could win.

It would just be humiliating getting spanked.

    1. So who's it gonna be, 12:53? Kranz or Hinze? Pick one or hey, add Gonzalez to the mix. Now that would be fun. He and Tony can see who can make steam come out their ears first and Hinze can earnestly but and vacuously cheerlead. I can see it now can't you? What top quality choices, it's gonna be tough for you to decide.

  9. FINALLY, the teachers no longer run the board. The puppets (Beth and Joyce) have been put away and the teachers lost their replacement bet. The puppet master (Union Boss) will now have to listen to the community for the first time. What a breath of fresh air and common sense! The teachers have been fighting coming back to school (even suing the district) with no compromises. Enough, just return to school!
