(RIP Emily, Emery, Dr. Worley, Brodee, and Rylan Currie, and not to mention, Roberta Walker being run down on Sharon’s on a high-speed highway 101, And she being completely hammered and nearly died and the city paying $11 million for that huge mistake and yet the sharrows still exist on the high speed Highway 101 in South Cardiff)
3) He’s actually adding to the problem by hiring even more useless full-time employees to the city payrolls and increasing the gigantic pension problem the city currently has. no wonder there’s no money for needed projects and quiet zones and all the other things which is really needed in the city. I asked a friend and learned that Bruce Ehlers actually hired a former Jazzercise instructor from Arizona who has very little experience in city governance. She comes from the physical education side of a degree and no experience in finance or financial planning for agencies., It shows.
While other agencies like the City of San Diego, El Cajon and numerous others are cutting budgets and cutting staff to pay for fixing their streets and putting cops on the roads , Not here in our coastal city.
Encinitas where the revenues are gigantic due to the huge and ever increasing residential property tax roles, Bruce Ehlers is in Arizona Jen keep on staffing up City Hall with useless bodies and attaching gigantic pensions for long-term pension obligations. And this results in zero money being available for needed projects like road, maintenance, and quiet zones, and crossings of a bifurcating deadly railroad, and drainage infrastructure, and maintenance of all all of the city’s many recreational facilities, and giveaways to the different drug addict homeless agencies like CRC.
Look at the snapshot from El Cajon they’re laying off people- Officials said the shortfall has forced 2.5% reductions across every department. That included the proposed “reallocation” of all firefighting staff at Fire Station 6, a rapid response.
Look at San Diego- Their budget that confronts a $118 million deficit directly," Gloria said. "It makes the tough decisions now — including targeted reductions to staffing and support functions — to protect the services San Diegans rely on and keep the city on solid footing."

What does Bruce do, he gives her a huge raise and makes her one of the highest paid city managers in the county with absolutely no experience and he gives her a 12 month golden parachute. The biggest prize you could get. And then, Dr. Luke tops it off and says he would even give her more but we know he gets in trouble with the Popo all the time. Then He’s agreeing to even increase the obese magnitude of city staff at City Hall producing very little meaningful work, Consuming all of the revenue and time and capacity of City Hall, and increasing our pension liabilities, which will further prevent us from maintaining our infrastructure in the future.
These are the clear reasons why Bruce Ehlers must go. If it’s not this election, it needs to be the next. So far this election there’s only nothing coming running against our failed Bruce Ehlers.
