Was interesting to see Ehlers and Marco SA show up at the Olivenhain town hall meeting. Was this a campaign event? They towed along some City Staff to give it all an air of legitimacy, but all you need to know it wasn't, was to see Rachel Graves sitting in the front row. Her and her coddling mother were front and center-- is she the campaign manager for Bruce and Marco, like she was previously for Bruce and Luke? Isn't it odd that Bruce, after promising to never appoint someone to fill his vacant seat, lied- and appointed Rachel's childhood friend Marco? The virus of Encinitas is a meddler. She goes to Sacramento with Brucey. She gave us the gift that keeps giving- Luke. She lives in Carlsbad and takes Jim on a council date to bloviate.
The councilmen are a joke. I have never seen any of them at a public event without being accompanied by one of their female handlers/attack dogs. I wonder if it's a mandatory thing they signed up for or if at least one woman shows up no matter how many times they've been asked not to.
Hilarious that Bruce brought the one that isn't even a resident of the city to bitch about "local control" in Sacramento.
Well, it's only a few more days of waiting to see if Marco goes back on his promise to not run for the seat he was appointed to. We can recall that Bruce promised that as a stipulation to whoever he appointed-- that they serve the term and not run for the seat, ah but we all know what promises are worth.
Every one of these handpicked council members campaigned on local control were handpicked by that outsider- and each of them promised to stop development-- one even saying he would do so with a gun. (Don't make him angry). No, the picks were bad because the picker is bad. One bad apple spoils the bunch.
This push for applying local control to each and every issue, big and small is their pivot. They mislead voters about stopping development to get elected, now they need a slightly similar platform to weasel out of it.
MAGA Marco didn't commit to staying out of this coming election. When asked about it he giggled and refused to say he wouldn't be running. He was the only one that wouldn't, so Ehlers voted to elect him even though he has exactly zero of the qualifications our mayor claimed to value in an appointee.
Clearly Marco is running for the seat. I'm sure they're holding off to the last minute to avoid a lot of the online shrapnel which will be a constant for the next few months.
Can't wait for that dishonest ineffective slimeball to start the meet n greets. I wonder which ladies will be running defense each time he is asked a question that requires knowledge and experience to answer.
Did Shelia at least make it? She sounded thrilled about the opportunity, lol.
Of course the Olivenhain Bruce appointee wouldn't show up. It was all so "eeeew" for him to begin with. Only a nice Belgian hot chocolate offered by a racist man with pride in a far off European heritage is acceptable. Belgium has some serious Africa history to deal with, not sure if that's a coincidence or not.

Rimga has been on the school board, she'll have to answer some of the tough questions around density, homelessness etc. The rest of it, this town needs to relax a little bit from the theater of villians.....
She face planted hard on the school board. She was 0-fer with every decision that mattered. Maybe she should run on closing schools in perpetuity, mandatory jabs for the youngest among us, no surfing on humid days because errr.... covid in the prather spray from waves, and so much more. What word would you use to describe an elected official who insults and attacks public speakers, insults audience members, has a meltdown about some unexplained image that supposedly caused issues in his marriage, is disrespectful & arrogant with city employees , hogs public speaker minutes for his personal diatribe which he goes over time for, is late to meetings regularly and is constantly a sniveling shit with a fellow councilmember for no apparent reason other than a personal grudge?
All these things happened at city council meetings, are wrong, and Mayor Elhers has done nothing more than a weak objection every once in awhile that Jim promptly ignores.
