San Diego Rescue Mission brouhaha

For those who wondered what the big deal was last night with the council member from National City, we’ve done the work for you and broken down the type stamps to pay attention to:

Consent item 10J. https://encinitas.granicus.com/player/clip/3948?view_id=7&redirect=true

1:26:30 National City council member Rodriguez comments.

1:31:07 Ehlers responds to Rodriguez.

1:37:26 OHara responds to Rodriguez, who returns to the podium despite public comments being closed and refuses to follow common council meeting protocol and sit back down.  Ehlers has the sheriff remove him.

Going by Joy’s demeanor, things clearly did not go as she had planned. Rumor has it that the councilman from National City was called in as a favor to try making this council look bad.  Enjoy!

    1. Ask any number of staff if you’re at all connected they’ll tell you it was a joint effort among Beauchamp, Ayers and Lyndes.

Lou should do better? The ring of truth is too strong not to mention Lyndes being visibly too thrown off for it not to be true.

  3. Lorri just opened up Encinitas Votes and already the troops are out. Think she should have waited.

    3. Do you suspect Joy was instructed to vote, " no"?

    4. Retract 347. Do we suspect Joy was to vote no but had to vote yes or look bad?

    5. Somebody has to be to blame for the councilmen looking like the jerks they are. Joy and the National City councilman is the easiest target for lovers of the stooges.

  7. Encinitas comes across as entitled spoiled privileged white children who don't want Rachel and Natalie's vagabonds in their ivory tower town. Ship them all away and let someone else deal with them. We'll pay the National City peasants to take care of the Encinitas unwanted. 1-800- Got-Junk

    2. 3:29 you didn’t watch the meeting or you’d be able to answer your own concerns.

  8. The people of National City, who the councilman represents, are likely sick of a snobby, elitist, entitled, wealthy city pushing their basic responsibilities on a poor one. I would be too; it's gross example of shitty human behavior. This is also not the first city Encinitas has attempted to take advantage of.

Encinitas has the ability to take care of their own, they just feel they're too good for it and the stooges want to satisfy their ahole supporters.

The councilmen had very good points; the current council has turned down a grant, refused to fund the safe parking lot, backed out of the agreement with Vista and now want to ship their poor and ill to the poorest city in the county to save a few dollars. It's shit behavior that merits no respect.

If you add to the constant stalking and demonization of the CRC and other NGOs by their handlers, it gets worse and worse.

I'm happy the councilman publicly called the councilmen out on their deception and tricks. If Joy had anything to do with it, good for her. The councilmen have treated her disrespectfully, especially Jim, and I'm happy he made himself look like an unhinged fool again.

As an alternative, Encinitas could show real leadership on this issue instead of weaseling out of any responsibility they possibly can.
