  2. Unbelievable. All the work to be done in the City and the City Council is focused on Federal issues. UFB.

thats what I get for supporting democrats, but never again. You can take the stupid out of a democrat, but you can't take the bleeding heart.

If only they knew how damaging their actions are to those in need.

Its good the City Manager is going to DC, City Hall will be more productive with her gone.

    1. Ah, the disgruntled minority of one surfaces yet again against the city manager. Pop on over to the Hymettus thread and tell us how useless she is, 9:55.

There's no doubt you're in one of two camps: a city staffer she forced to do an honest day's work, or a developer who couldn't get her to make a deal.

    2. Ah, try a third camp - a resident taxpayer that is tired of seeing the City run like a circus clown running from one funny trick to the next with no meaningful results.

I have an idea, since Encinitas is so mismanaged, the City should contract with Solana Beach or some other good City Manager like Del Mar to run Encinitas City Hall. Solana Beach does a much better job getting needed projects done.

For a positive Encinitas future, bus Brust back to Capistrano.

Oh, what did you say? They don't want her. No wonder....

    3. Again - why do you not get this point? - the city manager takes her orders from council. Take up your beef with them.

Oh, what did you say? You had an unsatisfactory encounter with Brust? No one buys your "resident taxpayer" story. There's more to it and no one's buying what you're selling.

  3. They didn't even care that Cardiff citizens were getting sick with the stupid SANDAG project along the rail corridor. And when the Chesterfield project, the Lagoon project and the Birmingham project begin, it's going to be a nightmare. The Mayor's only comment to the person speaking was "sorry about your respiratory problems". She has become a bully, as was also evidenced by her pushing her agenda on purchasing some property on Cambridge in Cardiff which is now owned by the San Dieguito Water District and they are selling it. She wants to buy it for affordable housing. Kranz said it made more sense to buy larger properties, as did Muir. Catherine was not to be deterred and pushed her agenda thru with Tasha and Mosca supporting it, of course. Catherine's Mayor term expires in 2018. Maybe it's time for her to leave? Muir is turning out to be the voice of a lot of citizens, as is Kranz. Kind of an interesting switch in my opinion. I know I would vote for someone other than Blakespar after what I keep seeing her do. Tasha won't win the Assembly seat so she will be in a safe seat. One man spoke about how absolutely stupid the map she drew was. Strange meeting in so many ways. Half of the consent calendar had to be taken off, as the City hadn't noticed some of it correctly. You would think that after all this time, they would at least know how to notice a meeting. Citizens need to be the ones who are vigilant, because it sure isn't staff or the Mayor.

  4. Anybody who says "in terms of" a lot is full of shit. Count how many times Mosca says "in terms of" whenever he speaks during a council meeting.

  5. 2:08am Seems accurate. Mosca love the shit. and he loves to hear himself talk.

    1. You could hear a pin drop in the halls of Congress as they waited to find out Encinitas City Council's opinion on DACA.

    2. I don't understand why they don't just stick to local issues!

    3. me neither. Anyone close to the Councilmember should tell them they are failing big time on local issues.

If they want to address federal issues run for congress. if they are City elected officials , fix all the fricken problems in Encinitas. There are MANY!!!

Have you seen the roads around town? They are crumbling!

  7. And at the same time, Tasha didn't say one word about how residents might be getting sick. Illegals, no problem. Citizens of Encinitas, forget it.

    1. Tasha seems unaware that double tracking construction will be soon coming her way in Leucadia. We will see how she reacts to that. It will be right in front of a school too, exactly like Cardiff.

It's sickening that she care more about illegal aliens than local residents.

    2. She voted to acquit the illegal in SF and that's a vote for anarchy.

  8. Muirs' trolls are on a bender, as of late.

    Memory failings are to blame.

Those who fail to learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. Words of wisdom that keeps needing to be refreshed for some gullible desperate people who imagine they have found a savior.

We will get what we deserve through apathy and misguided allegiance. Take your choice.

    1. News flash, 8:05: "Muir's trolls" went always his fans, but they got burned by Barth-Shaffer-Kranz-Blakespear-Horvath.

Only an idiot would keep throwing their support behind what once looked like great candidates, who did the opposite of what was promised once in office. There's simply no denying the voting records.

  9. The people I voted for where supposed to look out for resident interests, but are instead opening the door to the sketchy homeless and trying to turn our town into a shanty town like SF, LA, and Santa Anna with homeless laying all over the place.

I have a concept, if you want to eat go to work.

  10. 3:29pm is Thomas Roger Ogden again spreading his hate here in Encinitas from his hovel down in San Diego.

WC please take this trash out again.

  11. Mayor Blakespear and her continued focus on national politics- from her newsletter on the illegal alien DACAs

"Let the Dreamers continue to dream

We unanimously approved a resolution calling upon Congress to continue the existing DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals) program and provide DACA recipients a pathway to citizenship.

More than a quarter of DACA recipients, or about 222,796, live in California. Undoubtedly we have residents in Encinitas who are DACA recipients or have family members affected by DACA. Openly supportive communities, schools and cities are important for successful assimilation of “Dreamers” into American society.

More than 400 CEOs of America’s largest companies, including Amazon, Apple, Wells Fargo, Microsoft, Facebook, AT&T and Best Buy, have signed a letter urging support of preserving the DACA program.

The current President has said that that the DACA program will cease to exist in March, if Congress doesn't approve legislation to authorize or replace it. This would be a preventable tragedy. The DACA program affects the economy and local families. Cancellation of the program will needlessly cause tremendous suffering to innocent, productive, hard-working people who are our neighbors, friends and family.

We all need to apply pressure to our elected officials at the federal level to get this done."

  12. Bravo 8:40am.

As is the right of our state to create our own standards, we should be leading the way for the country to follow and resist the daily disgracer in chiefs inhuman treatment of Daca recipients to receive what they deserve.

This boils down to a simple fact and it is party based. The repugnicans have set an example that will be a disgrace when history is written.

Any semblance to a once revered democracy is history. The grand American experiment has been sold out to the power of the dollar.

  13. Mayor Blakespear parroted the Conference of Mayors group.
The DACA program is only a small portion of the number of illegal aliens that will become the majority of voters in the US. Congressional officials didn't discuss the future ramifications on jobs, environmental effects, etc. on that many more people in the US. Ask the taxpayers what they think another 40 million illegal aliens that become citizens will do to the economy and their children and grandchildren's future employment in competition with the 20-36 year old DACAs and other illegal aliens. Only 32,000 out of 800,000 DACAs have a four year college degree. From federal information - 160,000 DACAs dropped out of school. Another 160,000 have a high school diploma or a GED but no plans to go to college. DACA ended Sept. 5. Time to start enforcing immigration laws.
