  1. Why wasn't a workshop like this held before the Leichtag homeless parking lot was pushed through by Mayor Blakespear with little public input? Got caught with her pants down?

  2. "Got caught with her pants down?" Huh? How is pushing a project through "with little public input" getting caught with one's pants down?

    1. Blakespear was doing everything possible to get by without the legally-required public meeting. Someone noticed. She got caught, 3:55. But you knew that. And if you didn't, you do now.

    2. So you’re saying the mayor wanted to have the city council pass a measure without a meeting or a vote, so it could be easily overturned?

      Hear that?

      That’s my eyes rolling.

    3. Easily overturned? How, by making the residents cough up tens of thousands of dollars the city knows they don't have?

You're nothing more than a blakespear minion trying to do damage control with "fake news," as blakespear herself says.

    5. Strange? POS posts are up for censorship, deal with it.

  3. Apparently they rushed it so Leichtag could invest the grant in leveraged SP futures at 3300.

Now the homeless shelter owners are going to be living in their own lot.

  4. Cue endless references to hands being tied. Long on excuses, short on solutions.

Maybe the residents will take back the meeting like they did the Foxpoint one where the developer used the city's standard divide and conquer approach to "workshops." Didn't turn out so well for Grover, did it.

  5. I'm all over Encinitas all the time. Where are all these homeless supposed to be? I see one once in a while. I don't get it.
    This is a crisis?

    1. No, it’s not a crisis.

It’s fear mongering in advance of an election by a minority group that is desperate because they’ve.been rendered irrelevant locally.

  6. The meeting was cancelled. How convenient, eh?

    1. So the city engineered a global pandemic as a pretext for canceling a meeting?

      That makes sense.

  7. There is no mention of this yet on this blogsite, but everything is shutting down because of the corona virus. It is "social distancing" - an attempt to minimize the spread of the virus so as to not over whelm the health care capacities. People will be getting sick. Legoland has shut down its park, but has decided to keep the hotels open! This is irresponsible and unconscionable - it is all about the almighty buck! People should boycott Legoland now and in the future for their disregard of the community's welfare (and their guests).
